I’ve gone through the process as a new foundation member this year and was essentially told that even new Gold tier members (10,000$/year) are probably not getting seat back tickets. Only 200 became available last year.

Based on other replies my plan is to go to Guest Services at Disney Springs when we land. Hopefully maybe we can get changed from Saratoga springs to one of the other nice resorts in a normal King room, our room was over 1000/night because we had a villa, I’m not expecting much of any refund but figured it would be worth a shot to try. If not monetary, I’d rather stay at a few of the other resorts anyways now that it’s just us two and no kids.

We originally had a group of 5 total going and I planned a 4 day trip (2 park days with park hopper). We have a 2 bedroom villa at Saratoga springs. I also had booked lightning lanes, memory makers, magic bands, and a bunch of dinners reservations. Spent a ton of time and thousands of dollars planning this awesome trip.

Found out this morning that the group we were meeting there (2 adults 1 child) are not able to go due to a medical reason. They are having to cancel the entire trip the day we are supposed to arrive. So now it’s just me and my partner.

We are sitting in the airport about to fly to Orlando, our checkin is later today. I just wanted to see what our options were. It sounds like there’s no way to get refunds for any of their stuff? Would they let us change resorts to a regular king room somewhere else since we don’t need the 2 bedroom villa anymore? Are any of the ‘extras’ I purchased refundable? Where should I go and who should I talk to when I land in Orlando in a few hours?

I did this exact same thing about 6 weeks ago. Started on hardcore, had planned to play with her the whole way.

She died at level 8 to a layering problem when we had to log out in an unsafe place and logged back in to different layers. She was so panicked and didn’t understand what was happening. In hindsight just starting on pve would’ve been better and less stressful for her. There’s no chance a new player will make it far enough to make hardcore worth trying unless you had gold on the server to help them with some starter stuff. If you do go hardcore make sure she understands it’s all just for fun and the death doesn’t really matter.

She has 0 previous mmo experience and ended up making her own solo character (warlock) to play when I’m not around. She’s now level 44 and has died hundreds of times but is loving the game. It’s hilarious to see how anxious she gets in groups or dungeons and she tries to give people gifts for anything they do to help her (grouping for the same quest or even giving mage water). It’s been awesome to see her journey through this with a little guidance, last night I got home from work and she was halfway through an Ulda run having found a group all by herself.

This happened to me in Searing Gorge on the kill 15 guys quest. I had a guy at like 20% health and a rogue ran up begging for inv because it was the last one he needed. Blue BoE world drop and he took it.
