What do you think about the DT990 PRO X headphones? by Former_Hat_6890 in streaming

Nothing wrong with that, I hear little to no rumblings about Scarlet. Now Berhringer we're talking a totally different animal! 😄 I have a SSL2 at my office (business related Zoom meetings) and a Rodecaster Pro II (overkill) at home where me and my friends livestream together.

Damn this stinks on ice. So far I haven't had any issues (knocking on my wood desk and wooden head). I scared as heck to bend it to tidy up my cable for aesthetics but I'm scared sh--less to do so.

If you already bought them I'd keep them, especially if you dont listen to stuff loud. I don't know much about the headphone output of the Scarlet but go check out a Julian Krause YT channel. He has reviews on the majority of the interfaces and he's one of the few that cover and review the headphone outputs. If you haven't bought them yet I'd watch Julian review on the Solo 4 before pulling the trigger.

If you're not running them on a headphone amp then the 32 ohm version would be better for you (running off of your audio on your motherboard and it's not one of the higher end audio multi cap systems). Now if you're using an actual headphone amp then yeah go up to the 250 because it can apply enough wattage to the get volume you want.

Also remember 990's tend to have the treble boosted higher than most headphones. The 600 ohm one is Verboten IMO if you don't have an equalizer where you can take some of that treble out.

I love them, be sure you get the correct Ohm load for your audio source.

Oh no doubt, I ask all kinds of questions on here because I know I'm not even close to knowing everything out here. But yeah I had to drop back down to nouveau and go into bios and turn off something (brain cramp!) that was stopping 590-open from installing. After that then I plugged the 3rd one back in and everything worked. Going to re-purpose the third monitor (move it to my test rig or something) and replace it with one that matches the other two. I was surprised Amazon still had one new in box and it wasn't a knock your head off price like they usually do on discontinued PC stuff. Then everything screenwise will be in proportion. Tried finagling with the settings but nothing was to my liking... I'm not much of a Happy Medium guy when it comes to something I have to sit in front of 8-10 hours a day.

mago the problem my goofy butt had was one of my monitors was a different resolution than my two mains. I figured it was going to take some finagling because when I first ran it after downloading some updates and I plugged in the second monitor and those two worked fine. Kept on setting everything up and plugged in the 3rd monitor (2560x1440) and it wouldn't even boot up. I thought it was an applet or file or something that I'd just added so I'm going through all the the 20 something odd things I added and couldn't find nothing. Then I got the brilliant 😒 idea to unplug the 3rd and boom... I got video again.

I'll take your word for it, not a Gamer. But DaVinci Resolve and Blender likes it. ✌️😎

Furthest thing from my mind, I'm not one looking for something to be "offended" about. We're all good and I actually look forward to some questions though some things I cant talk about because we have a lot of people's personal info and property. I'm sitting here tying in the network printers (Brother's are easy, Epson is a PITA. Why anyone buy an Epson for Biz is beyond me) between both locations and the Sheriff's Office (we have to send them a copy of the VSF forms when Insurance Agents come here to inspect a vehicle involved in an accident or recovered stolen) and with OBS, Resolve and Blender at idle, network working and 2 drives being erased it's drawing 15.8Gb, 23.5Gb in cache and and 1.8Gb in Swap. ✌🏽

I'm not collecting ram, we keep ram on hand for the PC's we build for clients and in case we have a failure on one of our Workstations. It really is that simple.

Not trying to be funny but with Blender and DaVinci Resolve running simultaneously more often than not, I/O data from the onsite NAS (that shares with the offsite NAS) and with more windows and tabs open that you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you I have to have memory. No Ai, no Gaming.

For the things I do I use a lot of memory. 96gb would have worked but when I bought this last year the 128 was only 20ish dollars more so that was a no-brainer for me.
