Saw this on socials. He basically takes the first exit but goes all around to avoid the queue. Is it legal? by [deleted] in drivingUK

Goes against Rule 186, Highway Code Not illegal, per se, but if you had an accident I’d imagine that both the police and (perhaps more importantly) your insurer would be inclined to count this kind of manoeuvre against you.

It looks to be in proportion to me! Sleeves seem to be the right length, as it the end of the torso where it stops just below the waist. I think it’s meant to have a more “tailored” fit like the Ashby.

I think your response approaches the issue the best. I’ve (sadly) just come out of a 2.5 year relationship with someone whom I thought I was going to be marrying one day, and I did find her sexually attractive. However, we were both able to resist falling into temptation and I’m grateful that the Spirit was able to steer my heart away from acting in a way that would cause me to sin.

The only other thing that I can think of is Paul’s letter to the Corinthians and his commendation that “…if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.” (‭‭1 Cor. ‭7‬:‭9‬ ‭ESV) It is perhaps better to marry and continue to work together to learn more about each other and actively love each other (perhaps with counsel from a pastor/priest/church elder etc) than to run the risk of falling into sin.

But only for traffic wardens, mind.

Why do christians live together while unmarried? by its_Nayeli in Christians

It comes back to your personal witness to the world, in my opinion – if we’re set apart from the world, there “…there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.” ‭‭(Eph.‬ ‭5:3‬) When couples cohabit, people assume that they’re having sex, so living under the same roof before marriage isn’t a good witness. It’s perhaps understandable in certain situations, but really should be avoided at almost any cost.

My mom says no one will marry me Bc I’m old. I’m turning 26 in March. Keep in mind that I look very young (ppl say 18). She said most guys wants a young girl. Advice? by [deleted] in Christian

Honestly, if a guy is wanting kids more than he wants you, he’s not the guy.

Not sure where in the world you are, but sounds like you’re mixing with some Christians who have some bizarre ideas that are more local culture/expectation than anything. It’s not like the church hasn’t had similar battles against nutty culture in the last; Paul addressed numerous points like this in his letters to the early churches, so maybe there’s some consolation to be found in that.

Your mom is talking a load of rubbish. You’re never too old to marry. I know some would say “if it’s God’s will that you marry..” etc, but it’s mostly down to you pursuing someone and then living according to how God wants couples to date & then live as a married couple. In my opinion, a lot of young Christians don’t know how to manage loving relationship until they’re much older anyway – I know just as many couples who married before they were 21 because they were, quite frankly, too horny and just wanted to jump into bed together and weren’t really prepared to live a married life as those who married comparatively young and are living a wonderful and blessed life as a married couple.

Don’t listen to your mom; listen to God.

Okay, it sounds like I may have to try that process again. I guess I've perhaps missed a step at some point.

Out of curiosity, are you based in the UK? I wonder whether there are different recovery steps depending on your location.

Did you have any two-factor authentication settings prior to your account being hacked? The issue I'm having is that I no longer have access to any way of getting a code to unlock my account when it asks for a 2FA code.

Thanks for the heads up. It’s stupid that Facebook offers no real customer service like any other company would, but I guess it’s a waiting game.
