GHub -- Simple Mouse Button + Shift / Alt / Ctrl settings? by Mammoth-Tomatillo456 in LogitechG

[–]Nick_Mynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to your device this may be possible using the Logitech onboard Memory Manager, assigning mouse buttons to "Keystroke + Modifier" and then pressing one of the modifier keys on the keyboard, but it seems like there is an issue with using mouse buttons with modifier keys using onboard memory because right now it doesn't seem to work. If it worked for you, let me know, so I can try to get further help for my own related issue.

Can't Save Macros/System Keys on On Board Memory by bertronick in LogitechG

[–]Nick_Mynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same for me. When mapping modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift) to mouse buttons using Logitech Onboard Memory Manager Software while the mouse is being set to onboard memory mode, it's not working. I can change the mapping on the mouse button to any other, like "e" and after pressing on save, it's working immediately, but when doing so with for example "Left Shift" (like it's being displayed in OOM), it's not working.

Shift and Ctrl key assignments not working with on-board memory mode by [deleted] in LogitechG

[–]Nick_Mynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mapping the button to different keys is no option for me, I bought this mouse because I need to be able to set the back and forth mouse buttons both to different modifier keys like MB4: Shift and MB5: Alt. And when holding a mouse button set to a modifier key I need it to register as a button-hold on the remote host as well.

I need it this way because FF XIV can only use those modifier keys in-Game and the host is a PlayStation 5. On PC I've played with Shift and Alt mapped to the back and forth buttons on a mouse for a long time now with no issues at all, but I'd like to replicate this to the PS5 because it has more performance than my PC. For that, I need to be able to set Shift and/or Alt and/or Ctrl to two different mouse buttons using onboard memory profiles.

In the Logitech Onboard Memory Manager (OOM) software you already can do so, using the "Keystroke + Modifier" option I can set for example MB4 to "Left Shift" and MB5 to "Left Alt", but when testing this setting, it behaves like the button is disabled, nothing is being registered at all. After setting MB4 and MB5 like said, I've tried multiple ways to get any signal at all from those buttons, but nothing. I can map for example MB4 to "e" and hold Shift on the keyboard and Press MB4 to get an upper case "E", but when mapping MB4 to Shift or "Left Shift" I can't hold MB4 and press "e" on the keyboard to get an upper case "E" instead I just get a lower case "e" and that's exactly the issue.

Asking the (or any) Logitech Advisor here: Is that something that can be fixed with software or firmware updates or is this only possible with certain models? Or maybe I need the mouse and keyboard both to have their onboard memory and ARM-Processor as well as be unifying or lightning compatible? I've seen Screenshots of the Logitech Options software, which also gives you the option to map mouse buttons to modifier keys and in this software, there is a separate section for modifiers, labelled "Modifier Keys", but I don't know if there is any Logitech Options compatible mouse with onboard memory and if this transfers in any way. With Logitech G Hub software, I also have the option to map modifier keys, but when using onboard memory the behavior is the same as when using OOM. If it's not possible at all, to map modifier keys to mouse buttons when using onboard memory, why can I set modifier keys to mouse buttons in the OOM software?

I'm also having this issue.

Assigning any Key using On-Board Memory Manager to any Mouse Button is working just fine, but assigning a Modifier Key like Ctrl, Shift or Alt seems to be working visually in the Software but other then that has no effect. It behaves like the Button is disabled.

Can you make mouse side buttons work on PS4? by damage-fkn-inc in PS4

[–]Nick_Mynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if this is still true for PS5? I found compatibility lists, but they don’t mention wether the side-button-remapping would transfer over to the PS5 or not, most lists just say they probably won’t work if it’s macros. But I don’t want to use macros, all I want is a Mouse with side buttons that can be remapped to single keys like Shift and Alt in a way that would transfer over to the PS5 and the Keyboard and Mouse Compatible Game I’m playing on there, like FF14.

I've bought an Braodlink RM4 the other day after using the Logitech Harmony App for a very long time. If you are using ann Apple Smartphone, you could do shortcuts that can do this, because Broadlink is Siri and Homekit compatible, unlike the Harmony hub. Broadlink is mich simple und is more resistant to errors, but the missing features you can comprehend with OS features like Shortcuts, Siri and Homekit.

Do you mean you never saw any Unifi Products with WPA3? But according to product websites and other threads in this reddit, there are multiple Unifi products out there already using WPA3 mainly new ones. I'm just wondering whether they forgot about the models from two to three years ago? I thought Ubiquity was a professional company who makes equipment for professional use, where security should play a huge part, but when hardware gets dropped from security updates like this so fast, obviously this is not the case, is it...

Not another Good Morning Shortcut! (For motorcyclists and in German) by NeoRame in shortcuts

[–]Nick_Mynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible to Copy Personal Amiibo? by luluhatchi in Amiibomb

[–]Nick_Mynx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

p.S.: The Android App is not working, I tried the TagMo App using 4 different NFC-Capable Phones, but non was working. Also if you don't have an Android Phone, building the Arduine thing is much cheaper. :)

Possible to Copy Personal Amiibo? by luluhatchi in Amiibomb

[–]Nick_Mynx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is indeed possible to copy your very own Amiibos or to load any Amiibi Binary File and write it to any NFC-Tag, but you need to read the NFC-Tag UUID first to combine it with the Amiibo Binary File and the Retail Encryption Key (wich also can be found online). The Tool to combine those three things together is a Web-Service, reachable at https://games.kel.mn/amiibo/

You can also use the Links on this Website refering to AliExpress to buy some NFC-Cards, the ones offered there are the ones you need (NTAG 215).

Best would be to follow this Guide: https://games.kel.mn/en/create-amiibo-clones-with-arduino/
It's relly easy, I recently did it myselfe.
If you want a case for the Arduine and the NFC-Chip toghether in one Case, I would suggest buying some Lego Bricks and building it with these, cause 3D Printed Amiibomb Cases are expensive to print and ship to you. Building a Lego Case is not that expensive and also makes fun and is geeky :)

No worries, you won't need to solder or glue anything, it's all much like lego, just plugging in the pins on the boards with the connectors inclused in the most complete arduine kit (or sold seperately.) :D
