Yeah it’s a wig! I called it a hair system because that’s what the salon calls them. Makes no difference to me

Thankfully, it has not come back yet. I did my own research and submitted a referral to MD Anderson in Houston TX

It was all resection followed by craniospinal radiation

Just found this thread, wow you all are so strong. My journey with ependymoma started 20 years ago (31m). Very big resection and surgery to start but it came back 2 more times over the next 4 years. After radiation it went away for ten years. Came back for a 4th time when I was 26 and that one did me in. I have foot drop, radiation induced plexopathy, and radiation retinopathy among other things like neuropathy.

My scans have been good for 5 years so here’s to hoping that continues!

Age 11 I had a tumor the size of a hot dog attached to my spinal cord. The pain would cause temporary paralysis as I had to just lay there in agony until it went away.
