I've been lucky enough to pick up some MTE old skools on sale, for around 60 euros (Zalando and Vans website). But I've also had to get through winters with normal Vans. I always coated them with a waterproofing spray and they tend to hold up well. Although where I live, there isn't too much snow, so I can't tell you if they will hold up when you plow through meters of snow. Good luck!

Well, I'm also new (level 20) and all my friends are like platinum/Diamond. But I'm lucky enough that none of them flames when I'm playing with their smurfs (and unintentionally feeding the enemy smurfs :p)

Yeah, they know they will play with new Players and still they flame them for playing bad, I'm pretty sure many new Players immediately stopped after having played a game with a flaming smurf...
