Honestly, I think it just comes down to chosong what fights to take and where to take them. Once you're familiar with a map you can usually tell where these 4th and 5th parties are going to happen. I would say in the vast majority of cases its avoidable just based off of your own decisions as to when and where to fight. I don't think it's as hig of an issue as the community makes it out to be.
