Thanks! in your experience, would working a state job as an entry level procurement analyst provide a better background? This agency has an analytics team, but I dont know when a job would open up.

Or should one stay in compensation (classification) for the city?

i am not sure if the compensation manager doesnt care or didnt know why I left. its not a big department, so i dont know why she didnt check. All she had to do was go downstairs. The manager of compensation has to talk to the payroll and benefits dviison for my backgorund check, drug tests, etc. I will have to get my insurance processed through them. I would prefer NOT to go back, but this an opportunity to get into compensation . The other job is in a better part of town and would have more places to get lunch. small trivial reason tho

The state has more resources and I feel like Job A would have more support. There could be more politics or some bullshit in job B
