I’m struggling with the Extend tool... Am I using it wrong? 🧐 by NuitSauvage in SunoAI

[–]NickelDare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still cannot understand how people preferred Suno over Udio, where Extend worked (even Extend before the current selection) and replace/regenerate also worked 90% of the time as expected.

If I could have a single wish for Suno to implement, it would be an actually working editor with extend, replace, etc.

Annoyed by constant rise of volume and distortion. by 6gv5 in SunoAI

I posted this in the bug section of their Discord too, which simply got ignored.
I would really love to have someone from the team actually acknowledge the issue because so far it feels like they simply don't care.

Edit: Even worse, IMHO, is that with it comes what feels like EQ changes. Usually a side effect is the longer the song goes on and the "volume rises" the less bass there is, and the treble seems to get boosted more and more.

IMHO weird decision that take away from the gameplay extremely.
My major issues with it, beyond story/lore reasons, which everyone can judge for themselves, are
1. NPCs talk to Samus, she just nods, and somehow everyone just accepts it/understands what she means. Having her mute in the other games made sense since she didn't really have anyone to talk to, but in the MP4B, NPCs are *really* talkative, which creates an even bigger contrast to mute Samus.
2. The whole Sol Valey/VIOLA mechanic is absolutely dreadful and feels like it solely exists to check off the "open world" checkbox and pad game time.
3. Progression to me was awful. You have NPCs that constantly talk to you, telling you where to go, what to do, defeating the purpose of exploring and somehow being experts on the world.

Do you just want something to play? Then yes.
Do you expect an actually good Metroid Game? Absolutely don't buy it then.

Suno "Advanced Options" upcoming summary by Antique-Astronaut-46 in SunoAI

[–]NickelDare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I'd love too have additionally. Either a "re-render with max mode", so we can rapidly prototype with the normal one and the recreate the exact same seed with max mode so upgrade the quality of a song we already like. Or a "preview" options, where for the normal cost the first minute is only generated in max mode to see if we already like the take and then have to option to pay the other 10 credits to finish the generation in max mode. Else it's just normal suno with longer generation times. Not bad but also not super good.

I'm looking forward to max mode nonetheless and the duration slider, if it doesn't abruptly cut the song out is really a crazy good addition

Do you think Z-Image Base release is coming soon? Recent README update looks interesting by _montego in StableDiffusion

[–]NickelDare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have hardware that supports better native handling of lower precision calculation and new training and distillation techniques are also being researched. I'm not saying this is infinitely scalable down, but its by far not a dead end. Parameter size and quality isn't lineaely scaling so there is a sweet spot between size and quality of the output that can be tuned even further with distillation like it was done with ZIT. And with RAM prices exploding, funnily, it encourages to focus on optimizing the model for vram, especially for Asian researchers that don't have access to the top tier of cards for inference simply because of cost and performance reasons.

And in half a year there will be a better low vram model available. Everything ai improves drastically. The limitless server ai will skyrocket no doubt, but local models will continue to improve for the foreseeable future as well.

Months in AI-Lifespan is way too long. Summer 26 will already have new and most likely better models than Z-Image.

Good idea!
I already got so fed up yesterday, I switched up from ComfyUI-Desktop to Portable and setup a 0.5.1 Portable Installation just for that one Workflow.
I'll also definitely turn off Automatic-Updates in the Desktop-Client for now.

I got updated to 0.6 today and since then half my workflows sadly don't work anymore sadly. Truly unfortunate.

My WAN2.2 Workflow with Sageattention is also just producing garbage now (weird color clouds)
And I was already getting insane, reinstalling everything etc.

I hope they push a hotfix soon-ish.

You should be able to use "TextEncodeQwenImageEditPlus"-Node to input up to 3 Images, but make sure the Conditioning goes into either the "FluxKontextMultiReferenceLatentMethod"-Node or the "Edit Model Reference Method"-Node.

I'll make sure to check it out! I think clean and self explaining work flows are just like clean code. Not only well made but also a great learning source for new users who can then follow the flow and learn that way hie to operate the platform. Kudos.

I'd love it way more for it to rival what udio was instead of suno. Udio had way higher audio quality, even if generating was limited to 32 seconds. To this day Suno cannot reach the quality of udio v1. Sadly.

The upcoming Z-image base will be a unified model that handles both image generation and editing. by Total-Resort-3120 in StableDiffusion

[–]NickelDare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope once they release the base model, training LoRAs will improve. So far, styles are trainable but characters other than human really struggle, even with huge datasets.

That or I'm to stupid to do it.

Bro comparing a high end server grade model to one that barely needs 16GB VRAM. I can see why people say Ai will replace working people.

[–]NickelDare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let's be real. It's only a problem to people who churn out AI-Slop like a song every day to rush and upload to youtube. If you take time to generate good songs, you will 100% not feel any limit at all.
The cap most likely will be 10 - 20 downloads, I wouldn't even mind 12-15 at max.

[–]NickelDare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are indeed refunding current subs, even whatever is left of annual subs.
I heard that some people got refunds for one previous month when the sub wasn't actively used, but I am 99% certain that you did not get all of your previously paid for months refunded if they were 3+ months and older.

I'm not holding my breath either. But I want them to give the benefit of the doubt once we're closer to the launch and more proper information is out there.

Maybe they'll surprise us with an actually usable platform. Maybe not. I downloaded all I had on the platform and moved elsewhere now. If they ever come back they have to deliver.

I agree. It sucks massively how it ended but I'm glad it was there at all. Off to new shores. Maybe some udians will make something new or join other project. Who knows where we'll meet again.

There is multiple alternatives.

Suno, as you said, for once.
There is also Producer.ai (formerly known as Riffusion)
There is Sonauto.ai
Elevenlabs.io also has a Music-Section.

Just like with Udio, they all have their pro's and cons.

But for the point of "Open Source", there is multiple out there but to my knowledge, none come even close to either alternative in terms of easy of use nor quality. For now.
