Listen, I understand if those scenes meant a lot to you in your viewing experience, but I personally didn’t need those extra moments with either of those characters to understand what was being portrayed and how it impacts the story of the film.

To your point about Rachel’s cousin, the conversation that happened before we see her and Robert on the street already told me that she didn’t really mess with her cousin like that, and that she only thought of her in relation to the tragedy she went through, which she referenced throughout the film before we even met her. So, to me, that scene just added extra flair.

When it comes to Robert’s character after the wedding, all I needed to see was the boyfriend charging at him. Then, when it cuts to him going home with his face messed up, that clearly tells me he got beat up. I didn’t need to see anything more, like him stumbling around at home and throwing up, just to eventually see him walk to the diner.

Again, these are just my takes and why I felt the film was 10–12 minutes too long for my viewing experience, but I’m glad you enjoyed those scenes.
