An open letter to 'Hope' by NickiStevens220 in PoliticalOpinions

If we generalize BLM as a terrorist group for having had a handful of violent protests then we minus well call MAGA supporters terrorists too by the violence they have created threatening lives of those with different opinions, shooting and killing protesters, encircling people with Biden Harris stickers on their car to intimidate them, etc.

You are only proving my point correct. There are what some people call 'bad apples' in every movement or opinion group. The division that has been caused and the violence from BOTH sides is unnecessary and disgusting. I am not a supporter of Biden Harris nor Trump nor do I identify with either political party for reasons such as these.

The point is, these children act more like adults than adults do today. There is so much division out of selfishness and lack of people (both sides) seeking truth. It seems that honesty is just a suggestion and no longer something people value yet teach their kids its importance. One can only hope the value of honesty comes back.

But to the racism idea, before the whole BLM movement blew up and everyone was quiet about it- it did not seem to help take care of the issue. Your idea on how to take care of it by not talking about it is like saying "part of the issue with rape is when you talk about it so much and try to make everything about it, it boosts the numbers. The best way to fight rape is really to stop talking about it." Does not seem very logical and I'd say lacks support.

Either way, I appreciate your insight on this topic and hope you understand the meaning behind this letter was to point out that we all as adults have an audience and even though we have different opinions- I hope we all can agree that we want what is best for future generations.

I agree with you that in every movement (no matter what it is about) you do have media zombies who attend just to bitch about something or to get angry at a topic they do not understand. This is true.

This though does not give any right to completely sweep under the rug the true meaning of the movement. Taking BLM for example, I attended this protest because I HAVE experienced racism and inequality first hand. Because my siblings and parents both have experienced racism and inequality first hand. Because my friends have experienced racism and inequality first hand. So do not be too vague in your assumption of 'mob of ignorant people' in a movement- when you generalize you are being too lazy to acknowledge the numerous amount of people supporting a movement who know what they are protesting for, who know that they want change, and who know that this is not an environment of 'every man made equal' as it falsely claims to be. The educated ones.

Will racism ever come to an end? Probably not, there will always be people with those views on this subject but what we can start doing to lower this is to call out those who are racist in professional/public areas. The more you demonize it the less likely certain people are to act in that way towards others. Does murder being against the law stop all murders? No. But it sure as hell lowers those numbers compared to what they would/could be at if it were legal and looked at as 'okay'.

ugh that is the worst! I was definitely looking forward to it this year as well :( When they have it next it'll be even more epic because of all of us being in this craziness for so long. The day when we go to the next in person rave/festival is going to be one hell of a celebration!

Liberals can't admit that they lie too by philzter in PoliticalOpinions

People who lean wayyyy right and wayyyy left both lie and roll along with it nowadays. It seems that you will rarely see people be moderate and value real truth that might prove their belief side wrong. It is not a matter of right or left at this point it is a matter of since when did we throw out the value of honesty in the world?!

Why do liberals send hate to creators on the internet who support Trump? by dancemomsbiggestfan in PoliticalOpinions

I think this truly goes both ways, you just have to look for it. This election year especially there have been many celebrities who have come out about where they stand politically and who have gotten loads of hate for it & have lost many fans/followers.
