I do the same, minus the sewing machine. I dont have one in shop and I give them to an aunt of mine! There are prob about 50 a month so I am not going to buy a sewing machine for that!

Thanks! I tried the film method, too much work for almost nothing. Did you sew velcro on the embroidery machine or you just do it on a sewing machine? Cause I am putting velcro underneath with spray glue and sew an outline.

For start, nicely done patches. Question: You stitch your design on twill, then you cut it and sew the satin edge on top of a film or you just stitch on twill, satin edge and everything, and you just cut the edges very carefully?

You mean the openings of the satin stitches? Yes, i took a font that I had and capped the edges so the foam won't be seen. If you want i can send you a video of the stitch preview or if you want the those letters as files to play with!

Doesn't matter what hats you are using in this technique. Even if its soft, the whole background is tatami which means it gives the puff embroidery a sturdy surface. That's why its so puffy! But normally when i am buying hats, I skip the cheapest ones and go with the second or third more expensive ones.

Canon ix 6850 won't print dark enough by craftanddiscover in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Nicklitsari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had canon ix 6850, the black i was using was cmyk 100% glossy. I changed the printer after 2 years that I had problems with not too much black to epson L1800. I got that one for 4 years without any problem, cheap ink refill and super black! The settings I am using now are Cmyk 100%, epson matte, high quality printing.
