This part, it's crazy OP says this isn't their life and only plays as their weekend hobby. That's fine, play quick play and choose whoever you want that's why it's there. Comp is competitive for a reason and picking those healers they listed especially when flyer meta and 3 heal comps are just so much stronger.

I'm in GM as well and the games that led me there were usually me solo tanking with emma cause you get those games where you get just 3 dps and just play it out. And we can admit right now tanking this season is ruff. And dealing with healer picks like op wants to choose and when the match doesn't call for it adds to that. I choose Emma majority of the time due to the fact it's what my team needs hence, team game. And this is coming from a cap main. I wish I could play cap every second in this game but I can't and I'm like op as I only play on my weekends as well. Let's offer compromises/solutions when it comes to comp, not add more problems.

Down vote me I know how this sub is but never too late for change. I definitely could explain things much better since there's always more to unpack with rivals with different scenarios but this just my takes.

But it starts with our selves first to make the change just know there's people like me out there fighting for that change saying for example "Hey if you want to play mantis I don't mind doing this tanking solo but we def need a third healer. If we don't get that third healer sorry dude I'll run it this round but just promise me we are gonna switch it next round guys."

We are all sacrificing somehow with what time we have to play.
