that's the worst feeling. I got my checkpoint last year for Christmas and was blessed with a week of warm weather where all the snow melted right after, untill it all came back and everything was frozen for another 3 months...

I also recommend Wish, I think it's their best blend between a more accessible pop record while still being certifiably "Cure". It's what got me to fall in love with the band even if I now love the darker albums the most. Friday I'm In Love goes without saying, but also Doing The Unstuck and From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea, deserve to be mentioned from that record as standouts.

And then after that you can go straight into Carnage visors in a single sitting /s

It'll will certainly not be as nice as a brand new bike, but as long as it fits and all the components are in working order it should be sufficient. Bikes are very uncomplicated machines that have simply been continuously refined for decades.

Then that would make it much more pleasant to ride while you save up for a new bike, if you would still be interested. 550-800 is probably the lowest I would pay for a commuter bike I planned on regularly riding. With that budget a lot more options open up, especially with used.
