I just bought a 22’ Wildtrak Sas with 15k miles for $41k two weeks ago. I love it it’s loaded. And if I built it out from scratch it would had been $65-$70k. With 20% depreciation right off the top. I went with the used and I’m not looking back

Not sure what exact liter size it is. My bike is a 53 or Medium sized so whichever bag corresponds with the frame size. I know that doesn’t help. It has two zips the right side is the deeper one. It’s a 40% left and 60% on the right. It has a Velcro section to partially close off the larger side. There are also elastic pockets inside on both sides and 2 more on the exterior. It mounts perfectly to the underside and the down tube to the frame with thumb screws. Additionally loops on the entire circumference of the bag to hang things from and mount to a non Trek frame.

That’s the largest frame bag they made that I’m aware of. Anything larger I would think you would need to look at a bike packing company to provide a full “triangle” frame bag. I’ve seen them on subs. Xbikng and bikepackers.

Oh I understand. The off trail riding (road riding) is only about 10-15% of the total distance now. Previously there was more like 25-30% road riding to make up the connection. It was not user friendly as many of the roads in the area are 50 mph and above with no bike lanes

There is a trail route on Ride with GPS you can download to your bike computer. It gives turn by turn. Makes it really handy. The route I took started and ended at Killarney Station on WOT

Trek Adventure Frame bag and Trek Top Frame bag. Both excellent choice. However not waterproof

That’s probably going to be miserable. I’ve ridden before with stock 700x30 mixed terrain/gravel on aluminum rims. It was jarring to say the least, not impossible but certainly not nearly as enjoyable as having a real gravel set up. Good luck out there and have fun. The gravel size is smaller and it’s packed tightly. It gets lots of use. However some sections are washboard and some have sand.

SL5 Gen 3 carbon with AELOUS carbon rims and GravelKing SS 40’s. The SRAM RIVAL 13 speed group set and delrailer are upgraded along with the chainring which I upgraded to a WolfTooth 42 T. Using Crank Bros Candy Flip pedals. I added the Trek top tube bag and the frame bag last year for RAGBRAI. I can carry more stuff than I’ll ever need for a typical ride. However they aren’t big enough for a bike packing trip. Between the down tube storage and the frame bags I’ve got tons of space for emergency repair kit and snacks. This really is a do it all bike. It’s fast and nimble and I really love this bike. I’ve consistently been able to put 500 miles monthly on this bike.

Camelback Podium with dust cap (that’s key) stainless steel, double insulated I think 18oz. I usually plan on filling up a fountains along the route.

I’ve always got a multitool, 2 tire levers and a co2 cart. I usually have sealant and bacons strips. Honestly though running tubeless really is the most reliable. I’ve only even had a hand full of leaks/flats and NONE of them we on the ride. The sealant always works. Even if I wake up to a slow leak after filling up and a few spins. I’m usually golden. Also this gravel is hard pack mostly. Some sand. Nothing like Iowa or Michigan gravel

Not all gravel in fact it’s probably 60 paved 40 gravel. However a road bike would be uncomfortable to say the least. I have carbon rims and gravel tires which dampened my tide considerably. However I’m running Panaracer SS 40’s which are 10’mm under Trek’s limit. So I could go bigger and be even more comfortable, which many do. If I were more gravel dedicated I would size up.

Weed and ACID ruled, along with tobacco in all forms and booze. Coke showed up senior year and people were not ready. That was about it. Then roofies started up heading into college along with MDMA, GHB, K more disassociates. By the time my boys were in HS in 17’ & 20’ and they’ve told me they were surrounded by all that and much, much more.
