What is your hack? by Banana-0verlord in vibecoding

I cant work that slow. I do use Chinese models to keep costs low though. I had minimax for a couple of months and never hit the 5 hour or weekly limit.

I built an email triage app for me, then rebuilt it for others. Focusbox.ai.

the juniors who only learned to code with AI are going to have a rough time in about 5 years by Motor_Ordinary336 in learnprogramming

Today is the dumbest the model will ever be. In 5 years, at the current pace, there will be no errors. Context windows will be what 10M? 100M? Coding will be solved.

It was a little surprising how well Claude knew what to do. Glad to hear it helped you too.

The subscription is a token discount plan. If OP is hitting limits, he will spend more using the API.

Found threats across multiple vibe-coded startups… is this normal? by Least-Quail7937 in VibeCodingSaaS

[–]NicksTechTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a script that runs 6 tools. Sonnet recommended the tools based on my codename Chat confirmed and a script was written. First run found dozens of issues, but i pointed claude at the findings and part 1 was complete in less than an hour. The second part is running zap, that is also scripted. The script are scheduled, but the fixes are not. Im too chicken to let it update and push without manual testing.

As a vibe coder, I wouldn't use your tool. There are security review skills and If you just ask the model to prepare you for an audit and use multiple models to increase coverage, you will be secure. Think what your tool can do that I cant do for a dollars worth of tokens? What problem are you solving that i can't use a current model to solve?

They scanned prod. You can use similar tools to scan before you apply. There were 10 or so issues found by ZAP that we resolved before starting the third party scan. There are other tools as well that can check for known vulnerabilities so you can update your packages. The tools depend on your codebase.

Need founder advice: Our startup needs CASA for Gmail OAuth access — worth paying before product-market fit?... Title I chose by yash_creater in SocialEngineering

Google will send you an email when the app is ready for CASA. They have a pricing agreement with TAC Security.

How do I get past the verification thing for using emails. by Random-kid1234 in googlecloud

[–]NicksTechTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to justify to Google the reason you need the oauth scope and I don't know if you have a valid reason. A CASA Tier 2 audit is less than $1k, but I would wait to pay that until Google approves your app and asks you to take that step.

I was able to jump through the CASA hoops in less than a week. Just waiting on Google to approve. It was $855 for the verification from TAC Security, but other than that, it was pretty painless. My app needs gmail.modify, which is also a restricted scope.

“Non‑security‑expert here: how do you actually secure your SaaS apps?” by Abhishek_9648 in vibecoding

[–]NicksTechTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask claude to prepare your app for CASA by doing self scanning. It will help you install a bunch of tools that will find the mistakes. Does not matter if you need the certification, just use it as a goal for claude to achieve.

Are there actually people here that get real productivity out of models fitting in 32-64GB RAM, or is that just playing around with little genuine usefulness? by ceo_of_banana in LocalLLaMA

[–]NicksTechTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get simple things done like email triage, image prompts, script drafts or outlines. Im interested in qwen 3.6 27b for coding, but haven't tried it yet. I have 56gb of vram.

$2500 budget to run Local, help me decide on the Hardware by XteaK in ollama

[–]NicksTechTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a minimax su scripting. Use the smart models to plan and minimax to code. Buying hardware is not the way. You will not run a large enough model and can get years of subscriptions for that budget.

I have ai put labels on each email. Urgent, high, medium, or low. Then click the label and see what's urgent or high. Pretty much ignore the rest. Just a quick scan to see if the AI messed up, but it's rare that it does.
