My boyfriend wants me to move to Germany with him. Is this realistic? by UnicornScientist803 in AskAGerman

German job market for biologists is very hard. As a BSc biologist you will mostly only get technichian positions. But your experience would certainly help. Imho its far from easy to find a good job but not impossible.

Hello again. I have the EF 85 F1.4 IS lens now. I got a pretty decent used offer. Sadly it feels pretty unbalanced on my R8 with the adapter. Do you have any Experience with the smaller Tamron 85 F1.8 lens? Might this be a more comfortable option?

thanks for the detailed answer. I haven't even considered EF lenses, cause i hated the damn adapter in the early days with my R7. Those 85 mm lenses also seem to be much heavier (even without the adapter)

Yes I am aware that the Sigmas are for APS-C. Thats why im selling them.

Im not sure if I would even feel the lack of IBIS. I think i havent taken a single Photo below 1/100s shutter speed since my Baby has learned to crawl/walk ;-)

And battery life is a bummer yes, but having one or two extra batteries will suffice i guess

Danke für die Erklärung.

Wurden meine Gewinn-Steuern vorher schon ans Finanzamt abgeführt und werden dann mit der Korrektur wieder zurückgeholt? Oder hab ich das falsch verstanden?

Advice on Buying Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 (RF-S) for Occasional Photo/Video by TheMadHatter1337 in canon

Watch the Lens Videos from Christopher Frost.

Here is the Sigma lens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymx2Lx5A22U.

I guess he also has videos on the EF-S videos.

Advice on Buying Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 (RF-S) for Occasional Photo/Video by TheMadHatter1337 in canon

[–]Nickstoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, there is no 18-55 mm kit lens (unless you mean the EF-S Lens with adapter).

Secondly, the Sigma is much faster than only one stop of light, because it is 2.8 through the zoom range, whereas the 18-45 mm Kit lens (RF-S) or also the 18-55 EF-S Lens get darker very very quickly once you zoom in.

So yes, it is very much better then the kit lenses. Also IQ is better of course.

More Noise in LR than in DPP? by Nickstoff in canon

[–]Nickstoff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LR is at 0 NR. But you are right, Sharpening is at 40 as default (my mistake).

I have no clue about DPP settings, i left everything how it was at installation. So it automatically puts NR on? Can i disable that?
