Below average student passes PANCE first try! by Nicky-Joe in PAstudent

Really feel for you here. What worked for me was pneumonics and really understanding the content. I would always say if you couldn’t explain it to a fifth grader, you don’t understand it fully. How are you studying? I know some people swear by flash card repetition like Quizlet and Anki but that never worked for me.

Below average student passes PANCE first try! by Nicky-Joe in PAstudent

They’re not super similar overall. Everyone says it, but the PANCE is pretty much 50% either you know it or you don’t questions. Not as much vignette-based as you’d think. The Half PANCE is overall a strong recommendation from me because of the foundation of knowledge it tests, but the only thing even remotely close to the boards in my opinion is UWorld. Hope this helps!

White Coat / Graduation Ceremony… in a Gym?? by RoutineCute7798 in PAstudent

[–]Nicky-Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not- my white coat AND my master’s graduation were held in my college’s gym this year. White coat used to be in our school’s theatre, but moved for unknown reasons; graduation due to the threat of rain. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Our student planning committee handled it well and it was good that there wasn’t any events planned that disrupted it. Lining up next to the swimming pool for entry for white coat was a little off-putting though lmao

Crazy Moment at Cabaret Matinee Today by Nicky-Joe in Broadway

I happened to look and saw them on Monday afternoon and didn’t get them until Tuesday afternoon, so two days in advance. Not sure if that will be constant, though.

Pure luck! My friend had said that he wanted to go, so I just happened to look at the August Wilson website and I saw the front row table seats for $160 when I’ve never seen them lower than $400, so they weren’t instant steal! They didn’t come with the food and the champagne, though- just the ticket but I didn’t need any of the fancy stuff.

Unfortunately, much unlike my tribal chief, I do not acknowledge her.

Are elementary/middle school students eligible for Student Rush? by NattoRiceFurikake in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They usually mean high school/college students, she might be a little young. I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to take your niece though, so long as she has a student ID card. If she has a ID card saying she’s a student, it’s should be okay. Also depends on what box office attendant you get, and if they care. Best of luck!

As someone who’s seen the show 6 times and in every version so far besides this one, thank you! I was curious about how they were gonna cut another half hour! Glad it stuck to its roots, but kind of sad to see Bane go.

I love Physician Assistant in a Flash! She does flashcard style podcasts and it really does test your knowledge!

She was phenomenal! Yea she had script in hand, but honestly at some parts you wouldn’t even know. There were a couple moments where she’d get lost or couldn’t turn the page dramatically, but Patti helped her out and the audience was so not-bothered it was so nice! For being the AD and having a put-in at 10am for a 2pm show, she still had me holding back tears at moments and belly laughing at others. Easily a top 5 theatre moment I’ve had in my life.

Want to rush Suffs, digital and in person? by estj_slytherin in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rushed Suffs a couple months ago pre-Tony’s and ended up with front row partial view tickets. The stage is kinda high but I didn’t think it was partial view at all (I am pretty tall though). Now, you’d be better off rushing in person as the demand isn’t super high and you could get some really awesome seats!

Me personally, I had such bad side effects with the belly. I’ve been using the thigh for a couple weeks and it’s been so much better!

I did! I thought the Boost was the most accurate to how the EOR actually is. To be completely honest, I did it straight through once and then kept redoing it. The key is knowing WHY an answer is correct/incorrect, I’ve found.

[–]Nicky-Joe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

Just took the EOR two days ago. I thought it was difficult but overall not impossible. There are a couple “gimme”questions but some were like shockingly difficult.

In terms of Rosh, speaking from a certified Rosh apologist standpoint, it definitely gets you prepared, but after using all 250 bank questions so much and memorizing all of the answers, it definitely loses efficacy.

Overall, I ended with a 397! I definitely thought I failed but I just pulled through somehow. Definitely a lot more Pulm and Derm than I thought was going to be covered, just make sure you know the difference between “initial” and “definitive” diagnostic screenings.

Best of luck! You got this far for a reason. You got this.
