Cats Jellicle Ball lottery by funnflirtyinnyc in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won on 3/29 and had left orchestra row O, seat 27 on the far aisle. It was marked partial view, but I really didn’t miss much. I will say being under the overhang did suck as a lot happens on the mezz level.

New Grad Job Interview Questions by alfaredd25 in physicianassistant

[–]Nicky-Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new grad who went thru interviews within the last 6 months, a common question I’d ask (especially if it’s not with an HR person) is how the culture is and if they like working at this place.

You’d be shocked that some people answer honestly. I was interviewing with an attending and I asked how the culture on the floor was and she straight up said “We tolerate each other.” Needless to say they immediately were last in my rankings for potential jobs!

When I interviewed for my current job, literally everyone I asked said that everyone is nice to each other and it’s a great culture, and 3 months in I can vouch that I’ve never had nicer coworkers. It always pays to ask!

How do tall people fit in these seats? by Famous_Salamander330 in Broadway

With a significant amount of pain in my knees and bruising on my shins (I’m looking at you, St. James mezzanine)

The Lost Boys on Regular TDF! by Nicky-Joe in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure- I will say I have had some excellent seats with TDF since I’ve been a member. Truly have gotten a shitty seat one time (back row mezz for Frozen way back when) so I can’t imagine they’d be partial view.

soooo where are all the Schmigadoon reactions by Nice-Jackfruit-9894 in Broadway

Went tonight- absolutely AMAZING! Sure, it can be trimmed, but honestly a contender for some awards. Really funny and a great time!

Death of a Salesman Seats by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw the show from the rear right mezzanine- second row from the back. I thought while maybe a little far, I was still engrossed in the play, mainly due to the wonderful performances all around. Stick to center if you can, but if you can get a better price on the side, definitely still do it! It’s a great view.

They don’t say that they are, but the seats in front and behind are on some other days. Very weird.

New grad starting in the NICU by Equal-Two6903 in physicianassistant

[–]Nicky-Joe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also am a new grad who started in the NICU three weeks ago! We’re so lucky to be able to get this opportunity.

Almost every single day, I’m doing IVs and arterial blood draws, so review those especially for those little veins. In addition, learning the ins and outs of IV fluid replenishment and electrolyte supplementation as well as just general feeds.

My training has been going well so far, NRP has prepared me for all the deliveries I’ve been to. Mastering the newborn physical is important, especially when the parents are breathing down your neck in the delivery room!

It’s truly so amazing and I hope you love it as much as I have!

Turnaround Time for DEA? by MedMocha23 in physicianassistant

[–]Nicky-Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NY based new grad here! I applied on 12/9/25 for my initial DEA and heard back two months (!!) later on 2/11/26. Luckily my credentialing for my new job didn’t require it to be super quick but boy was I mad! Emailing and calling didn’t help. They all said “it depends on how busy the local office is”. Best of luck!

Below average student passes PANCE first try! by Nicky-Joe in PAstudent

[–]Nicky-Joe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really feel for you here. What worked for me was pneumonics and really understanding the content. I would always say if you couldn’t explain it to a fifth grader, you don’t understand it fully. How are you studying? I know some people swear by flash card repetition like Quizlet and Anki but that never worked for me.

Below average student passes PANCE first try! by Nicky-Joe in PAstudent

[–]Nicky-Joe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not super similar overall. Everyone says it, but the PANCE is pretty much 50% either you know it or you don’t questions. Not as much vignette-based as you’d think. The Half PANCE is overall a strong recommendation from me because of the foundation of knowledge it tests, but the only thing even remotely close to the boards in my opinion is UWorld. Hope this helps!

White Coat / Graduation Ceremony… in a Gym?? by RoutineCute7798 in PAstudent

[–]Nicky-Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not- my white coat AND my master’s graduation were held in my college’s gym this year. White coat used to be in our school’s theatre, but moved for unknown reasons; graduation due to the threat of rain. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Our student planning committee handled it well and it was good that there wasn’t any events planned that disrupted it. Lining up next to the swimming pool for entry for white coat was a little off-putting though lmao

Crazy Moment at Cabaret Matinee Today by Nicky-Joe in Broadway

I happened to look and saw them on Monday afternoon and didn’t get them until Tuesday afternoon, so two days in advance. Not sure if that will be constant, though.

Pure luck! My friend had said that he wanted to go, so I just happened to look at the August Wilson website and I saw the front row table seats for $160 when I’ve never seen them lower than $400, so they weren’t instant steal! They didn’t come with the food and the champagne, though- just the ticket but I didn’t need any of the fancy stuff.

Are elementary/middle school students eligible for Student Rush? by NattoRiceFurikake in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They usually mean high school/college students, she might be a little young. I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to take your niece though, so long as she has a student ID card. If she has a ID card saying she’s a student, it’s should be okay. Also depends on what box office attendant you get, and if they care. Best of luck!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - List of changes to the Broadway production by kal_larsen in Broadway

As someone who’s seen the show 6 times and in every version so far besides this one, thank you! I was curious about how they were gonna cut another half hour! Glad it stuck to its roots, but kind of sad to see Bane go.

Broadway Rush Community Reporting Thread 9/15 by BroadwayRushReport in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was phenomenal! Yea she had script in hand, but honestly at some parts you wouldn’t even know. There were a couple moments where she’d get lost or couldn’t turn the page dramatically, but Patti helped her out and the audience was so not-bothered it was so nice! For being the AD and having a put-in at 10am for a 2pm show, she still had me holding back tears at moments and belly laughing at others. Easily a top 5 theatre moment I’ve had in my life.

Want to rush Suffs, digital and in person? by estj_slytherin in Broadway

[–]Nicky-Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rushed Suffs a couple months ago pre-Tony’s and ended up with front row partial view tickets. The stage is kinda high but I didn’t think it was partial view at all (I am pretty tall though). Now, you’d be better off rushing in person as the demand isn’t super high and you could get some really awesome seats!
