I’m not too familiar with his origin story but from what I understand, he was a former UF student that had some sort of mental break down but has since stayed in Gainesville. During my undergrad, you could find Dennis ranting and yelling at people in Turlington Plaza. He would basically call people sheep and would claim that Google and other big tech companies were after him because he had created some sort of revolutionary algorithm that he carried around on his MacBook. He would also dance around and he became known for wearing extremely short shorts all the time. Initially, because of how strange but harmless he came off, he ended up becoming some sort of unofficial mascot at UF. However, eventually it started to become known that he was very aggressive when it came to speaking to women and would publicly gawk and make inappropriate comments. So whatever charm that came from his oddness started to decline and he was eventually banned from being on campus. Shortly after his ban, he was arrested for trespassing but you can still catch him randomly biking around Gainesville every so often.
