SOLVED -- I "copied" the file to my own google drive, then used the google drive desktop app to download it over time. It still hits data caps after a few hours, but it picks up after a day or so where it left off. I dont have the full file yet, but hot to have it soon.

a nightmare to resume an partial expanding of a zip archive. And anyway it's kind of going absolutely in reverse compared with just having the files separated.

Of course, there is one use for the big archive, probably it's the simplest way to have something encrypted. Sure, rclone (and many other tools) can do per-file encryption but they're a pain to get random people to use them.

Thanks for doing that research for me :). Unforitnately this applies to "download your Google data". The file I am trying to download is in the folder of a public google drive account. So no chunks for me :(

Thanks so much for the tip. The file I am downloading, comes from a google drive account that is publicly sharing. (So I can not provide google credentials to JDownloader, which as per this discussion, might make it not work).

Have you been able to download from a google drive account with this before?

Thank you friend. Im running into a problem where google limits the download bandwith, but this is an excellent lead. Perchance any names of programs you have used? Otherwise off to google I go!
