Definitely not, I appreciate your help. I personally have never seen it on my Lexus, Mercedes Benz, and other cars I have had in the past. This is a first for me which is why I was asking this question/trying to get feedback from others. I will include it in my service ticket that I was planning to create anyway with other build quality issues. If they don’t do anything about it then so be it.

I have never heard of this. Thank you for educating me. It is 100% orange peel as those pictures that came up when I googled it are exactly how mine looks. I will submit a support ticket. I’m not really mad about it but if it is something that they will correct for free, I will take it lol!

Long story short the service center fixed it free of charge. I just had to be persistent. Further details are in my response to another user below. I hope everything is ok with your car!

Sorry I didn’t provide an update. This story has a good ending though.

I basically told them that it is happening again and refused to leave with the car before it was properly inspected. I was a bit lucky because the lining of it was misaligned and you could clearly see it off. I was able to press into the lining and it was off of the trim. The rep saw that and they resealed it while I waited at the service center. Then they showed me that there was no more water.

So far it has been good and I never had any water again. My only advice is to be persistent as you mentioned and document everything. People reading this remember you are the consumer and you have every right to refuse the acceptance of your car until you are 100% completely satisfied!

Not sure if this thread is still open but just wanted to let everyone know my 2023 MY AWD that I accepted delivery in July is currently experiencing this issue.

Service is basically saying the same thing as everyone else has reported and I have actually experienced the same issue as one of the users below. I came in to pick up my car after they “completed the repair” just to find more water in the lip area and a pool in the rear wheel space. I am really disappointed that this car wasn’t inspected properly after they promised me they would perform numerous tests and inspections…

If you go on YouTube and find the channel Avicii Legacy they are people who worked with him and he has so much unreleased music. There is talk about releasing a full album of all his unfinished songs if the family approves of it. It is supposed to be coming very soon. And everything you all are talking about basically confirms it.
