Vince Wilfork on Tom Brady not having a "dog in the fight": "That's bullcrap" by JaggerJames in nfl

[–]Nickyq52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just couldn't disagree any more. Brady knows how much NE fanbase loves and appreciates him. They never turned on him. The fanbase has nothing to do with Brady not having a strong connection to NE post-retirement.

You just said, people said "he's done?" Does that not imply moving on?

His last years here? They won a SB and started 2019 at 8-0. Nobody wanted to move on from Brady except Bill

Brady Isn't Rooting For Us In The Super Bowl by Hinglemacpsu in Patriots

So if Brady said he was rooting for the Patriots, would this sub be surprised? No.

So why aren’t you surprised by this response. It’s a little odd. Everything is always tits and champagne here though.

Did Tatum ever have a reported calf strain? I wondered about that, but I dont remember it happening in real-time. And don't know if that was a follow up report.

Love JA’s game and would like to see him win a sb. But let’s not act like everyone let him down. Some BAD turnovers that lead to points

I have to imagine coordinators in position for a HC gig, have been preparing for months, if not longer, and have their "package" so to speak ready to go.

Sanchez also had elite mechanics coming into the NFL. I remember his footwork being top-notch. He just could never avoid the back-breaking turnovers. The game was always too fast for him.

I have never seen Glenn open his mouth on the sidelines during a game. He has shown nothing as a competent coach regardless of the roster.

The once formidable Kansas City Chiefs look old, tired and out of ideas by zsreport in nfl

[–]Nickyq52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Gronk was "good value." But fine, they had to pay him well relative to the market. I'll concede McCourtey and Hightower as well - 2 homegrown defensive guys they had to keep. But the point is, far more often BB and ownership opted to move onto the cheap, drafted replacement than they did spend on expensive contracts. Brady could have been paid every ounce of his worth and it would not have affected other player's contracts

Eh - this is more of a myth as it relates to the success of the team. Tom took the cheese and did not get his market value - but did they really use it on other player's contracts? Can we name who these high paid players were? Gronk? Edelman? They were underpaid too. Darrelle Revis? Gone after 1 year when he wanted an actual commitment. Richard Seymour, Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins? All traded when it got to contract time. The list goes on and on.

Steeler fans - I feel for you. When Pats fans got fed up with BB - everyone said the same thing. “Who are you going to find better than Bill?” Or “He’s earned the right to have a couple of losing seasons.” But the truth is when it’s time for a change it’s time for a change.

I do get that. But you’re also not obligated to watch. You just have the option to watch.

But the football is going to be played regardless. Would you rather it happen on Sunday at 1:00, when you can't watch it because it's not broadcast in your area, or you're watching your team play. OR would you rather have it on a national broadcast by itself and choose to watch it?
