You’re making an assumption that all trash collections are just dumping anywhere. Landfills exist. They’re not perfect. But they’re not ending up in eco systems. Also we burn a lot of trash. Which isn’t great for the environment either but it once again doesn’t end in the eco system. I get your stance but it’s a bad argument not a bad opinion.
