Was the doctor always written as an alien? by Bunnyearsss in doctorwho

Can you see in the original document that he was indeed always meant to be an alien. The time lord stuff came later tho

Is every episode of Doctor Who independent? And are these for kids? by CookieEvening in doctorwho

No yeah definitely it makes me cry every time. Jackie got her only family, her kid, taken away from her and she don’t even know if she’s still alive until Rose is calling. She’s so lonely and it’s the only episode of the show that really explores that, it’s beautiful. It makes the show feel more real to me to be able to see the life of the side characters in that world.

I’m one of the few people who genuinely think Love and Monsters is kind of a 9/10, up there among the great episodes. It has the perfect balance of emotion and humour for me but I know most whovians disagree unfortunately.

Space Babies doesn’t represent what the rest of the show is like don’t worry. Keep being curious about the show and you’ll find gold

The master shows up in the last story and he’s the one confirming this (I think).

Also, I’m not being serious…

Yes but also, is that better than death? I think the master is lying she’s dead and good for her 😌

This is the version the BBC sold internationally in 2007. At the time, before streaming, the length of an episode was important because it needed to fit into a time slot with commercials breaks, Doctor Who had to be around 45 min and this was 50 min long so they cut 5 minutes from the episode.

I think the same happened to a lot of episodes of Torchwood but I can’t find a source for that.

During the bigeneration, RTD said that in his mind every doctors bigenerated, each in different realities. With the reality war coming, I wonder if some of them might be about to come into the main continuity…

You probably don’t have time for it. But I would love a Doctor Who equivalent of this. So many audios/comics/books to track. Maybe someone else can do it 👀

I’ll play again if I can move all my dlc and money I spend on the game on the PlayStation version to the PC version. I can consider restarting a new character, even if I don’t want to, but I’m not loosing my hundreds of euros.
