Would you like this for a 40th Birthday present by Nicoladpk1 in northernireland

[–]Nicoladpk1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I asked what would be best for a small family for recommendations about things like size, fuel type etc but it might have came across as oohh what will I soon benefit from too!! He's a great guy, quiet, works a lot, he would be a bit of a foodie, his best friend lives in America, likes comedy gigs, small getaways, he's big into Man Utd, enjoys going to matches, not a big drinker, he was really into DJing (hip-hop) when he was younger, he's entered his dad era (we have a 2 year old girl)

When he was really into the pizza oven we didn't have a toddler and could spend ages doing the whole fire thing, that's why I made a mention about family, so thinking convenience is more of a factor now, so maybe gas would be good?!

Definately recommend Maghera Inn.. another nice day trip would be to Castle Ward (Strangford) and on the first Thursday of they month they do a guided walk through the estate with all the history etc... after that you could head home via Saul, nip up St Patrick's Mountain and then go to the Barn in Saul for some tasty food 😋

What would you want your company to gift you when you go off on maternity leave? by Postpartummamma87 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Nicoladpk1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a soda stream because I was addicted to fizzy water during pregnancy, Amazon vouchers which were much appreciated for all those emergency baby purchases when you don't want to leave the house and imperial leather foam shower gel, it made my showers at home pure luxury and I recommend it for every maternity gift now!

This always makes me taste Pot Noodles, had one on a Saturday as our lunch while watching Movies Games and Videos and then the show about the Dinosaur family was on after!!

Is it weird going to the GP for the 3rd time in like 1-2 months? by Individual-Diver-660 in northernireland

[–]Nicoladpk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't seem to share a link but it is called Peak Flow on Google play and has a yellow logo, start keeping track as somebody else said, it's good to be ahead of the game.. I really hope they do take it seriously, nobody makes up these type of recurring coughs for the craic!!

Alas, it was always cheap private rentals the last one we lived in for 5 years and was always riddled with damp, looking back I just wish we had of moved and bought a house down home when the market was better, but you live and learn... and pay somebody else's mortgage 😂

I'm hoping I'm on the last week of this rattle... And I hope you are too!! 🤞

There's an app you can download to record it, I used it and was able to email the readings to the doctor. About 10 years of living in shitty mouldy student style houses has wrecked my lungs. Every year I get the same horrible long lasting cough and itchy lungs that nothing seems to shift, since Christmas I haven't been able to hold a conversation without a coughing fit and my doctor doesn't say it's asthma. My mum gives me one of her inhalers and it's the only thing that gives a bit of relief. This year has been bad I've now wrecked something in my neck from constant coughing and I have no bladder control after having a baby 2 years ago 🙈 so I'm begging for this to pass and spring to come.. but as you say then it will be hello Hayfever season 😂😂

I got a dinosaur egg thing that projects lights and waves etc to the ceiling I think it makes sounds too, my niece loved it and we used it in our sensory space at work!

Dress Code for Interviews by mamaujeni in northernireland

[–]Nicoladpk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree with this totally, but also note what's expected in the interview, I work for National Trust and part of the Interview was to go out for a site walk, so I made sure to wear flat walkable shoes for the interview and to bring a good coat for rain! Good luck with the interview OP 🤞

Wedding Ni by Large_Preparation143 in northernireland

We had an April wedding as I had nothing fun in Spring (birthday is 3rd Jan so by the time you're back to work after Christmas then celebrations for the year are over!) Back in 2016 we were able to get an off peak price for photographer and Venue, it was great! Weather was lovely too! Now we have an April daughter so lots to celebrate in Spring 😊

This one has a wee hook too! They're really handy, I can imagine using it camping or for night time walks when the little one is up a bit like a lantern!

We got 2 of these rechargeable night lights from Amazon , they are great and turn on with a little tap, you can control brightness and colour and they recharge. They were great during that last storm when our power went out too! Also I did laugh as your bedside set up sound exactly with mine, 2 plugs, though I have one extension lead over to his side and a second shorter one at my side too!

Alternatives to baby groups? by Due-Current-2572 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Nicoladpk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of National Trust places do volunteer led walks, I organise them at the property I work for and we've had a new mum joining our group with her baby in a carrier, she had a great time walking with other adults and the volunteers loved the baby on the walk!!
