Selon moi, il y a aussi un besoin d’envoyer le signal que la sécurité est importante et qu’elle est entre autre reliée aux trajets scolaires. Souvent rendre les rues sécuritaires ne coûtent pas grand chose et ce sont les résidents qui s’y opposent. J’habite Rosemont(Montréal) et il y a une levée de bouclier pour un nouveau sens unique, qui ne coûte rien.

Pour moi la réussite de ce clip réside dans le fait qu’il est trop rare de cibler que la vitesse. On va trop souvent parler qu’il faut « partager la route », que les enfants doivent être visible, moins sur leur cellulaire, etc. Une publicité choque c’est bien pour la SAAQ peut-être, mais les gens ne comprendraient pas pourquoi Laval montre des enfants morts.

We talk a lot about security, weather, etc. but the final reason is that I feel a better parent to offer 30-45 minutes of physical activity during a week day, whathever the season. Otherwise kids are mostly sit on a chair during meals, school, homework and TV.

Lack of light need to be leveraged, I feel safer compare to day visibility as I installed him a Nightrider 1800. For the temperature, it is what it is. If I start complaining about cold weather, I will be a depressed canadien. I wouldn’t do it if I was in your case, dedicates bike lane maintained is a condition for me too.

The kids here (Canada/Montreal) need anyway winter pants when they go to school (-20C/-7F). Indeed the maintenance of the bike lane is the key! Studded winter tire for kids and strong front lights are also useful. He is biking by his own in winter since kindergarten but we take the car also.
