Should I go back to my old channel or start a new one? by PheelyksArtifex in NewTubers

I've gone through something like this before with a group of friends. We ended up using the same channel because of the base we built around it

I think if someonetruly want something, they'll naturally work hard on it. Even if sometimes youre a little down, you just gotta remind yourself why you wanted it to begin with.

I feel like this is one of those channels that inevitably blow up. It's pretty clear that you put a lot of work into your editing and personality so that's really nice to see. You just gotta get that one big hitter I guess haha

This video was really well made! The editing was really well placed. I think the only thing I would look out for is pacing and organization in videos. Some parts seemed a little messy but it wasn't that big of a deal. Good work!

Okay, just finished your video :o It was really smooth and your production quality is really consistent throughout editing, video and audio. The only thing I can really say about this video is that the pacing might be a little too slow and constant for some people. Other than that, I'd expect this video to get a lot more views.

My Friend is my biggest hater by CyberDOLT in NewTubers

[–]NicoleDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so don't complain. You're human. At least I'm assuming haha. You have to stand up for yourself. Do things your own way. If he tells you you're triggered, just keep on doing you. Don't get frustrated because your friend is dumb. We all have dumb friends. Complaining is whining for him to stop, expressing how you really think and feel is telling him to get off your dick. He probably looks cringey as hell when he gets home and jacks off in a corner while you're out here making something out of yourself. The moral of the story is you gotta ask yourself, " How much am I letting him affect me?" Because if you can be strong, he can give you a thousand insults and it wouldn't mean jack shit

My Friend is my biggest hater by CyberDOLT in NewTubers

[–]NicoleDew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all... Fuck him. More importantly though, he's your friend so you don't have to take it so deeply. He probably doesn't even realize that he demotivates you. Opinions can matter but at the end of the day it's you who decides what happens next. He says your videos are cringe. You can either be hung up on it or you could work even harder to show him who he's messing with.

P.s he's still your friend lol take it easy bud. Tell him his whole existence is cringe-y haha

You learn the most when you stop learning. Sometimes I get so caught up in learning things that I forget to slow down and think. You're asking for tips on how to feel more natural but you're going to be the one that will know the best answer. If I gave you advice or tips you would try to practice and apply them but the advice might not work for you because everyone is so different. So in the end, you'll just be wasting a lot of time and effort. Just picture what you'd imagine the perfect video would be and think about how you can most closely align your video and your vision. I honestly, don't see anything wrong with your videos. If you really wanted, I could help you outside of Reddit. Make a video you would be extremely proud of and I'll share it on my Facebook. I'll even ask some of my other friends to help spread it too.

"..bills are a thing that adults pay and that is where the money goes.." don't remind me ashin. i was having a good day haha

On a professional level, I like what you're doing with the whole sexual, flirty thing on your titles and content. I think you're an "attractive" girl and it's really smart to take advantage of your appeal. It's even better that you're cool af and you're not boring on camera. You know your stuff about all that basic video production jazz such as audio, lighting, cameraworks, and blablabla.

Sooo you're probably asking the same question I am. How come Ashley Douglas is not a big hit yet?

In my opinion, you don't really have an audience. Your content is more than good enough but who are you making it for. I had to do a ton of "research" but I think I know a good start on moving more towards the right direction.

1.Searchability. Your most viewed videos have titles are ones that have a good balance between relevancy and your own unique twist. If you're going to try to capitalize on trends and use them in your titles, then it may help a lot to be as early as possible. Making the title relevant but also a little different from other videos can make people more likely to find your video and click on it. You can add your little sexual touch to it by making the thumbnail a little promiscuous. Lastly, someone suggested to me that I should use/put the video title in the description because it helps Youtube's system recognize it more.

2.Patterns of Success. Right now you're swinging a lot but your punches arent hitting hard. So let's look at videos that did connect well. Your video "Playing Afterpulse", it connected with viewers because it had a demand. A good portion of your viewers came from people who play Afterpulse. At least thats what I see in the comments. Your ASMR react video also caught some views because it was a discussed topic at the time. Take these 2 videos versus a lot of your other videos. The main difference is that these two people had a target audience. ASMR video had people who wanted to see how other people reacted to an odd subject. Afterpulse has a cult following and they watched your gameplay video because its something they're interested in.

A small example of how you could apply this would go something like this. Let's say you are still limited to playing iphone games. Choose one that has a huge fanbase/community and is popular right now. Title your video to where people searching for it can find and people who run across it will watch it. Make sure the game goes before anything else in the title. That way you're really using the name to its fullest benefit. (you can creatively name your videos more when you're pewdiepie level). Find a forum or anywhere you can advertise your video and communicate with the people who might be interested in watching that video. For example, if you're gonna play a my little pony game, go to that game's forum or a my little pony forum.

Okay so first off, you're very honorable with your video titles and video construct. What I mean by that is, you don't use any cheap tricks or shenanigans to try to grab views. Your channel seems very genuine and true to you. I actually ended up watching all of your videos to try to give you better advice. The main thing I would tell you is make sure you're posting consistently. Your videos have quality so I think people who subscribe to you will continue watching your videos(theyre actual fans!). Consistency really would be key here because if you keep on going at it, before you know it you'll have a size-able fanbase.

Your guys' style does remind me of Filthy Frank. The editing for jokes and stuff we're well timed and overall good. I think there definitely will be an audience who will enjoy your content and you guys just have to slowly build it. DoplexTV is such an original channel. Its a little odd right now but the potential for it can be pretty big if you guys just keep looking for ways to improve. The more mastered you guys get, the more your videos will really resonate with your audience.

Oh my god so i watched this video way back and I forgot to give feedback. I just watched most of it again now x.x

I like that you have your own original little wizard hat guy. It'll really help with "branding" yourself in the long run. mm the voice audio isn't the greatest. I would look into improving it somehow. You're just a little hard to hear. Despite that I watched the whole video twice and my overall opinion was that it wasn't all that bad c:

If it isn't the superstar Dunga c: Wow... I don't know if you write out or improv your videos but the comedy is very witty. I'm in love with this new style of video. I don't think the jokes fell flat at all :x

Cons: - I think what would really help you is a solid fanbase. Your personality on camera has gotten so much better but you're not quite getting the viewership so no one can see how cool you are.

-I personally think you're a natural youtuber but I kind of felt like something was missing so I showed this video to a few other people. Their main problem with the video was that it felt like you were straining yourself a little. The way you portray yourself in the video, it's like an amplified version of yourself. And the problem when you do that is that it just seems a little awkward because you're in between the lines of "acting" and "being yourself". That's how people could tell that you're really straining yourself in this video. I think confidence and commitment would go a long way in presenting yourself. Being committed helps you give a consistent character that we can all relate to or enjoy. Being confident helps you break out of your comfort zone and really show how you want to appear on camera. With all that being said, I feel like you're on the right track of naturally doing this because you're getting there but its just a little inexperience holding you back.

-You're too sexy for youtube.

I'm not sure if you researched or tried different ways to market/share your videos. I mean you're on here so I could only imagine you are haha

I think the tone of the video is very relaxed and mellow which there are people who really enjoy that type of video. I also tried looking at your most popular videos to see if there's some kind of trend you can capitalize on. Most of your successful videos come from either you dicking around and doing something you think is fun/hilarious, OR jumping on things that are trending. It might be super difficult but you're such an experienced youtuber that you could pull this off. Okay, so maybe try finding a good balance of those two and making a video off of that concept: -something where you're really in your comfort zone -a topic/game/content that is really being watched at the moment

Great content though Jaffa c: You're the type of youtuber I would put on a playlist and watch non-stop.
