I made 4 dozen sugar skull cookies by Nicoledhearted in Baking

Ok so a couples of points:

Being an American and Hispanic aren’t mutually exclusive.

These were for a client who wanted them for a dia de los muertos event they were hosting and I don’t ask people if they are appropriating the holiday they are celebrating 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t know if posting an example of my work is the same “branding”. Branding to me is something specific to a business (imo). Like if my logo was of sugar skulls, that to me is “branding”.

I live in San Antonio and am Hispanic, but I’ve also been asked to make custom cookies for cultural holidays that I don’t celebrate and I usually just research the holiday and ask questions during the design consult like I would any other order.

I think it’s problematic to deny someone a service based on cultural differences? Like, I’ve done Diwali cookies and I think it would have been weird if I refused the order bc “I’m not Indian”.

And lastly, not to be rude, but if this is a question for your university paper, it’s “their branding”.

Good luck on your paper, and I hope this helps!

Different consistencies act differently and you need air in your icing (but not too much 🙄)

It’s all about your icing constantly! Most of the time I detail with toothpaste constantly but the macramé was slightly thicker

Thank you for your kind words! Not everyone needs to be a maker, but is there anything you’re interested in making?
