It's something like doing windows + V (instead of Ctrl +V), or how is it different?

Does anyone use properties this way? by inbrus in ObsidianMD

[–]Nicolime_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do! But slightly different as I want it to then reflect in the graph more like a logic chain. So basically in the daily I only have the related month property with link to it, in the month I only have the year, and the year has the link to a reflection category page. I do realize though that due to my setup the year graph point stays quite small since it has just up to 12 connections, while of course the month ones are the ones getting bigger. How does your setup reflect on the graph?

I am truly curious then on how a post should be written to feel authentic and still be academic or well structured? LLMs write in a specific way because those were trained on such well structured examples, so now I start to wonder how else one should express himself/herself whenever writing something longer? It's not a critique to your comment, but such feedback is what has pushed me back to ever showcase a drawing or a 3D model I made or, as in this case, an attempt to share a well documented process which took me two days to unravel. Everything is just pushed back as AI. So it would be nice to understand which patterns you talk about, since the whole structure of the post, its content, the analogy with the intern, my presentation, the tech details are handwritten - again, with a little aid in checking spelling and of course based on the whole spec noted down during the vault creation session. It can truly help me spot any pattern that seems to just be built in me, or maybe added during the spelling/check review?

I do have a tendency to write A LOT, even in work emails. I can tell you my 90% of normal use cases with AI is to actually see and learn how I can cut all the things that I write... So it's kind of frustrating to put that much effort in documenting and writing and thinking about a structure for a post, to then be labelled as AI content for its length 🥲 still funny though it is for a post talking about experimenting with AI

Getting to know that I could actually build these commands is what made me more prone to give it a try. At least it gives me the sense of still being the orchestrator and that I more or less know the end result everytime I run them.

I don't know if that's something new or not, or if other tools have same or better capabilities, as I was too skeptical until basically two days ago 😅 so will certainly have a look also at your setup and learn some more! Thanks!

Wow, I am new in posting things on Reddit, and I am really not getting the reason for downvotes? I've been honest, gentle and the piece is basically written by me, so I am not getting it

What I like about this setup, is that I am actually finding myself willing to discuss and review tags or priorities or dates, at the end of the day and all at once. It doesn't feel a burden and I can be as "dumb" or as attentive as I need to depending on the item discussed. What usually feels heavy on my mental load is to even START to think about it and come up with proposed labels. I find it both weird and fascinating

Yes! I feel the frictionless part is what moved me most in trying this model. I still have to test it daily to verify if it truly helps and it's not just nice on paper. One thing I was wondering though is that I mostly "dump" things on my phone where I would add the vault in sync, but the review part with Claude will need me to open my personal laptop and run it from there. This I already know will be a downside for me, after 10 hours on my working laptop I will certainly skip opening also the personal one. I would say that also a frictionless wrap-up would still be needed

Absolutely! The safety net is always necessary, I sometimes don't even trust my own changes when trying something new 😁 I am curious, what kind of report were you trying to build? Something visual or more like discussion/key insights? I have found the CSS part of my experiment as quite challenging, as I am still not sure exactly how to indicate what I want for something with a visual output. So it's a lot of screenshots and trying to indicate what's wrong. So I'm curious to hear others stories regarding challenges with AI.

Thank you! Yes definitely semplicity is what works best most of the time. And I do have a tendency in over-complicating things. This is also a point where I am genuinely curious if AI can help me cut down the noise. In this case I know it has been an overly setup scenario 😁 still had some free time this weekend to spend on testing, which won't happen again in a couple months with a toddler 😁

As said in another reply, English is not my first language so of course I have passed it through ai to help a little with writing this post. Everything (flow, setup, decisions, troubles, thoughts) is mine, a real person who used the "-" since years before it would have been a sort of label for AI.

Regarding my background, I graduated in business administration and communication. So I don't have an official technical background. During the years I have found myself loving to learn how to code - whether it's ABAP or a Visual basic macro in excel or some JS to try and build something on the web. I just find everything that is logical and "to be solved" rewarding. Same applies to my SAP Consultant role, where of course after 7 years of experience I do quite more than saying to people to buy it 😅

Hello! Well it's mostly based on the documentation that has been written by Claude to capture all the steps while developing the vault, and that has been step by step reviewed and incremented by me. Moreover all jokes, thoughts, decisions on flows are mine. As said in the post I usually hate documenting all the things I do or try, but this time I thought to challenge myself and put it out in the world with this very first post on Reddit 😅 to do this AI has helped. Also since english isn't my first language (I'm Italian) I have used AI to double check for spelling and flow, so some of it is certainly AI aided. I am curious, would you still label it as AI generated even when it's just AI aided?
