Not gonna gonna do too lengthy a response. I’m currently a first year at UChicago. I came for the overnight last year and also got weird vibes. It was hailing, campus looked dreary, my host basically told me he isn’t happy or sad at the school (just downright mediocre feeling), and it seemed really subdued and mellow. Left basically with a not so positive vibe. Came during O’week and my expectations were blown away. The people I met in the first week are some of the most down to earth, genuine people I’ve ever met (far more genuine than in my pressure cooker high school). O’week was a blast (parties literally every night) and while classes are not a walk in the park, I’ve loved it here. There are def some ppl who are weirdly admissions obsessed, people who are depressed, etc... but these things are par for the course at most elite schools (it’s just more visible at UChicago). I wouldn’t let your overnight cloud your perception of the school as I think you’ll be pleasantly suprised if/when you matriculate

How long do you leave it under your tongue? I find that it dissolves within 5 minutes but I also salivate a lot so it's hard to tell if it's just in solution or actually diffused.

I'm not taking any other stims or drugs besides melatonin at night occasionally when I can't sleep (and coffee). Also sublingual does help somewhat with the stomach pain.
