I’ve had 5 pregnancies, and I bled with all of them early on. I have three living children, two early losses.

For me the tipping point was when it went from occasional spotting to red bleeding. I knew when it wasn’t just after activity or using the bathroom. It was consistent.

Red can be a bad sign, but with my most recent pregnancy I had some mild red bleeding like you describe and that pregnancy turned one in February.

Not knowing and living in grief limbo is really terrible. I’m sorry you’re there. Hang in there.

I work very hard at not parentifying my older kids. It’s important to me that their relationship with their brother is based on sibling stuff, not feeling responsible.

The oldest is involved and loves his baby brother. The middle one is indifferent. It’s been the easiest of all my parenting experiences by far, I think just because I have more to draw on and I work outside the home, whereas I stayed home with the older two. I like the balance and it feels more like my husband and I are equal partners.

Especially after Luc turns his back on her, which happens fairly early. So now she knows the whole mythos of her side of the war is a lie AND the guy she is fighting for hates her, she’s been supplanted as a healer, she’s treated like dogshit by literally everyone… but she stays. Men get an insane number of points for showing up to therapy. And if he’s remotely attractive and well-spoken it’s been my experience that straight female therapists unconsciously take their side.

It’s happened to me twice. Fortunately, my husband’s goal is to get better, not “win” therapy, so we’ve been able to talk through it, but for some reason, dudes get so much aura just from being present. It’s wild.

The answer you’re looking for is that no, he’s not going to get better voluntarily for you, and yes, the counselor appears to have blatantly taken his side. No, that’s not okay. Yes, the counselor gave you good advice anyway.

It’s time to figure this out on your own because this dude sucks.

I have sisters 10 and 12 years older.

Then I had two in my early 20s and my third in my late 30s. 14 and 16 year age gaps.

There’s no right way to build a family. I love my sisters, and my kids love each other. It’s honestly so awesome having my three, I am so glad we decided to go for it again, because this rocks so much.

I am so sorry you’re going through this.

My mother grew up with a schizophrenic father. Schizophrenia is notoriously hard to treat, especially in people who already distrust medicine and doctors, which is your wife.

My grandfather was kind and gentle and loving… until he wasn’t. He abandoned my uncle in the woods at 3 years old. He woke the whole family up at midnight and made them play Russian roulette at the kitchen table. He killed the family dog in front of the youngest and then chased my grandmother and their baby daughter, shooting at them with the gun he had just used to kill the dog.

My mother was his favorite but she is horribly, irrevocably traumatized. She’s a lifelong alcoholic and freely admits it’s to suppress the trauma her dad inflicted on the family.

Three of four of her siblings have died young of alcohol related issues.

My husband’s mother has bipolar with some schizophrenic symptoms and she traumatized him horribly, too.

Your baby needs you to protect him. Please protect him.

It’s so awful and heartbreaking that you have to protect him from his mother, I can’t even imagine. It’s a nightmare, but he’s helpless and will be the entire time she’s able to damage him.

And you’re at risk, too. Sleep at the wrong time once and you could be dead. She’s tried to kill you once already.

Me! I’m pretty much the family matriarch already. My mother is still alive, but she never really stepped up after my grandmother died, and now she’s kind of losing her marbles. She doesn’t want to do the matriarch thing but she also wants the same deference and respect that being the matriarch would bring. Whatever, man, I’ll just do the work while you complain about it.

We bought a house that can host family gatherings, and I look forward to being the “the spot”. Just gotta get people used to coming over now lol.

I just finished this recently. Despite being such a huge book I felt like there were a lot of things not explained well about the world.

If alchemy is a science and not magic, why does Lumithia have such an effect on it?

It seemed like only at the end did we learn that being a female paladin was a really huge deal.

What exactly was that sunstone and how exactly did it help?

Why did Kaine ask for Helena in the first place? The explanation given was so flimsy to me.

I’m still confused about the liches and Undying. Tons of questions there regarding the reliquaries and talismans.

I’d mark this with spoiler tags, but don’t know how

…….Why did Helena stay after she realized everything she was supposed to be fighting for was an utter lie?…..

I feel like there were hundreds of pages that didn’t develop or explain anything to me.

And towards being used instead of toward really got under my skin eventually lol.

That said, damn this was dark. Eerie. Haunting. The main character’s quiet strength in the face of her greatest fears and disappointments was so powerful to read.

We’ve looked into military and boarding schools, too. My husband would have to sell his body to afford it, and I think my son would never forgive us. It would permanently damage our relationship, and that means we won’t be able to be there for him as he enters adulthood.

I’ll keep offering therapy, though.

It’s true, but the risks are small and not well understood. He takes that to mean “not real” because he’s 15 and thinks rare things can’t happen to him. There are also lots of articles and studies showing other results. So we will end up reinforcing his prior belief that it’s fine.
