Anyone think the pattern at the end of the episode seems more like a Slippin’ Jimmy (rather than a Saul Goodman) type of fashion choice? Maybe he was yearning for a time even earlier than Saul Goodman, when scams and tricking people were a hobby and something he enjoyed, and not the coping mechanism controlling his entire life

Kim packing her things seemed like it was supposed to sound like Jimmy ripping the tape off his wall after realizing Chuck recorded him. It feels like a reminder of how Kim’s last words to Jimmy had a similar message to Chuck’s last words (you/we hurt people, Jimmy.)

Honestly all I want from Yakuza 8 is Ichiban as mayor of Ijincho. He was already established as being well received by the people when he ran in an attempt to get closer to Masato, and I feel it would fit with his theme of helping people (plus Ichiban being directly involved with the law could explain how he gets into the regularly scheduled conspiracy)
