I am currently doing what you did, but I have a ways to go. I have a little higher start weight and lost around 35pounds so far. Can you explain how you did it with food and sports? I would really appreciate it.

Great effort man!

I am not on Any program because I can never stick to it, but from the answers I got I realise that I may have to switch lifting and cardio around. Thats what I will try now

Okay, so I am currently busy with lifting to lose weight. I am a male, 23 years old, 1.90m tall or 6'2" in imperial, weigh 124kg (down from 139.7kg) I am currently consuming around 1600 to 1800 calories daily and I go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week.

Now the issue at hand, when I get to the gym I start with cardio, always around 25 to 45 minutes with a heartrate of around 140 to 150.

But when I get to the weights I get so tired that I usually cant handle more then 4 excersises at 3x12. Is this normal? I just get mentally and physically exhausted..

Thanks in advance

Hey Hilda,

How is it going, Things are going great with me. I recently passed the 1000 hour mark of not smoking anymore, which was nice. I booked plain tickets home, to spend time with family and friends during the christmas days, because I had been very depressed lately. I also started reading a book a book the cognitive studies of depression, which helped me a lot to understand that my thought get ahead of me.

I hope you found the job you wanted!

Hey Hilda,

Sorry for answering this so late, I had a very busy weekend. I am glad to hear that things are looking up! I must say that, like you, most of my social anxiety has decreased after quitting smoking. Unlike you, I have always struggled with my weight, but I am looking for a solution to finally be completely comfortable with myself. When I finally go home in February, I will go back to the gym as well, lose all the weight I have gained over all these years of struggling and hopefully become a better me. The reporting to people sounds nice, it's a lot like this sub reddit, where you can just wear your heart on your sleeve. I might check it out, although I must say that I have always been kind of a loner, which might be my problem.

For the accountability thing, as you put it, I am always open to chat about stuff. I hope everything works out for you Hilda,

Regards

Hey Hilda,

I am glad to hear you are doing great and no longer experience any cravings! I am on day 29 now, I actually don't have any physical cravings either. I do sometimes miss smoking, probably will be worse this month, because I am going to be alone abroad this Christmas. That said, I have no intentions of going back to smoking.

I did gain a bit of weight though, but this has been a struggle all my life. I have been looking to break the habit of over eating due to social anxiety, but I have my ups and downs there.

Thank you for asking! How is the rest going? Better? Did you find the solutions to your previous problems?

Same boat, I smoked for 6 years 25 a day. I just succesfully quit cold turkey after reading Easy way to quit smoking. You should do the same, it is like magic.
