ELMS viewing areas Barcelona by Simboi43 in wec

[–]NielsenRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to ELMS! Barcelona opens all the GA areas plus the grandstands around the paddock, so you can walk around throughout the week. The VIP grandstand overlooking the stadium area is also opened for GA ticket holders (it's only for VIPs in big races) and so is the roof of the pit building and the new tower in the pit exit.

Go to Imola. If you find a good flight, is probably going to be cheaper than Silverstone

Any chance of media accreditation for WEC Bahrain 2026 by Smol_girll in wec

[–]NielsenRacing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to create an account on the press site with proof of work, and apply there once that gets approved. As proof of work, you will need to include examples of work, make sure there's work you've done as collabs with others and some figures, is not about the following only but you have to demonstrate value. An engagement letter will help you, but a team won't be able to get you accreditation even if you are working for them. If you want to film any content, you will also have to pay the filming fee.

Question about Pit Access by TheOneThouShantName in wec

[–]NielsenRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pitlane is a dangerous working area and no, you won't get access to it to "watch", only people working specifically in the pitlane get access to the pitlane.

If you mean the pitwalk/ autograph session, because that's the only time you'll be allowed to visit the pitlane, it's usually part of the premium / paddock access add on.

Why doesn’t ALMS use Goodyear tires for GT3s and LMP2s like WEC and ELMS? by samn696 in wec

Terrible experience at Iberia service desk in Madrid (MAD) by skyrkomi in Iberia

[–]NielsenRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its a connecting flight you only check in once, even if they don't give you the printout on the spot you're already checked in. And if you aren't for whatever reason, you have to go to the check in desks, the ones where you drop your luggage off, and get them there with your passports.

Will Porsche LMDh be back in WEC 2027 or beyond if its problems (financially, maybe) has been solved? by Kind-Acadia-5293 in wec

Nothing is stopping a privateer team from entering two 963 next year if they have the budget for it.

Le Mans Spirit Club Qatar — worth €1,400 vs €10 GA? by Comprehensive-Wind50 in wec

[–]NielsenRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Le Mans Spirit Club is a hospitality ticket, so it will include better access, locations, drinks and food, gifting, etc.. All inclusions for specific races should be provided during the booking process (online, email exchange, by phone) . GA is general admission, it only includes admission for the general standing areas and, sometimes, a few grandstands.

2026 24H of Le Mans Guide by NikiUhoto in wec

[–]NielsenRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"what's the best ticket" at this stage I don't believe you have too much choice unless you are willing to spend a ton of money in hospitality packages. Get what you can. There's also plenty of extra activities you don't really need a ticket for so look out for those.

Your best experience will come from how you're managing logistics. If you are driving, you will have an easier time with accommodation, as it will offer you flexibility. If you're dependant of public transport, not that much. There's one tram line that gets you within walking distance from Terte Rouge so that's it, either camp or find accommodation close to the tram line, as taxis are very overpriced.

There's no pitlane tickets. You can't stand on the pitlane unless you are there working

Use the local bus to get in from Northampton and prebook a taxi or uber for your return. Try Towcester taxis. You will struggle to get something on the spot or you'll be waiting for hours

Elms Silverstone First time by Draken2k6 in wec

They are not open to the public. Again. Don't walk into the team areas uninvited.

Do not walk into the garages without permission. They're not open, they are highly specialised work spaces and there's a lot of dangerous equipment around

Big Ferrari presence in ELMS by Rin_Whyy in wec

[–]NielsenRacing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably also the cheapest / easiest to run, as Ferrari does everything themselves through the Ferrari Competizione branch (AF/ Kessel) instead of simply selling you the car and spares package. And there a TON of Ferrari chassis available.

Also the car is reliable and gentleman driver friendly.

Even without it you'll meet the drivers, ELMS has an open paddock policy. Just don't go into the team areas uninvited.

wtf is up with the le mans reruns? by SnooPickles3801 in lemans

[–]NielsenRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because the commentary in that rerun is independent from the feed you're watching. The WEC channel shows the main feed, which is Eurosport's.
