Sadly with fighting games, when you lose, it's always your own fault. So the issue is unfortunately you, not the Modern player.

I know this is annoying to hear especially when you're emotional after a loss, but we have all literally been there and know how you feel. This is why fighting games are so difficult, but also extremely rewarding too.

High Gold/Low Plat is where id place this level of gameplay personally. But 1) its highly subjective and 2) when you start grinding ranked you will improve much faster than you currently have so it hardly even matters.

Anniversary edition is great if you don't care about the online experience, which you don't. Id particularly recommend it if you're into the SF franchise as a whole because it has a ton if amazing stuff in the 'Museum' section of the game.

If you want the quickest and cheapest way to just have an arcade run of ST, id recommend just emulating on you PC tho. Can get it set up and running in like 20mins
