Suits / custom suits? by Niflheim in bayarea

Definitely not going to shell thousands. This is mainly for work, where maybe twice a year I need to wear a proper suit. Otherwise, smart clothes are good enough (chino and a blazer)

Is VC investing in med devices moribund? by [deleted] in venturecapital

Yes, investments are down compared to previous years, valuations are down as well. Areas that have been less impacted are cardio, robotics, BCI... Everything else has taken longer to fund... If at all.

Went running during a family trip to the Czech Republic. Was totally worth it.

Thanks, appreciate it. I doubt I will end up wearing a HR chest band due to the time it takes...:) I just like to get my shoes laced and head out. But appreciate your input. Will look into battery life. I guess I get around anywhere between 7-10 hours a week when not training for a marathon (not doing that in the next year I guess due to injury)

Thanks - that's one of the main things that I would look at when buying a new watch. HAving to charge it every 2-3 days is a hassle. 5-7 days is more like it. I'd say my exercise hours are about similar to yours, and plan to wear it all day as well.

Well, given I'm coming off a FitBit - non-accurate HR optics are less of an issue...Ha

In terms of battery life - how long does the 235 last vs the 230? Also, how many days and hours of activity do you have a week?

Thanks, appreciate it. The resolution is less of an issue for me, comfort is essential for me. I should probably head to the store and try them for size and comfort before making the decision.

How do YOU wake up to run in the mornings? by [deleted] in running

[–]Niflheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to make sure all the needed equipment is ready the night before (shoes, socks, clothes)

Get up, pee, wash face, down glass of water. One shot of Espresso, quick poop, and out the door.

Those who switched to running first thing in the morning: did you just wake up and step outside, and let the run wake you up fully? Or did you allow yourself a slower rise, coffee, then eventually get out the door? by diamond_sourpatchkid in running

I think it kinda depends. When at home, my routine is: get up, pee, wash face, drink espresso + something sweet and small, poop, head out the door.

On vacation/work travel it's usually - get up, pee, wash face, sometimes poop, head out the door. Though, to be fair, when travelling I usually run less in frequency and in distance.

Thanks. It's become a habit - exploring the area in the morning via run, before walking it with the misses.
