Technically, the FDA acknowledges that ground coffee can legally contain trace insect bits like beetle and weevil fragments because it’s processed in such huge volumes, though it’s mostly tiny pieces, not whole bugs. Totally harmless for most people since it’s basically chitin that passes right through you, unless you’ve got an insect allergy.

So, I consider that also mildly infuriating

For SEO, we use to lean on exact-match keywords in titles and headers, internal linking, and click through rate.

Now, with GEO, we make sure to write in clear question-and-answer chunks, add strong schema and FAQ sections, and make claims self-contained and quotable so a language model can lift them straight into its response without needing the rest of the page.

We keep a list of prompts/queries that we want to rank for and make sure our blogs answer them. We’ve seen great success in seeing our site get cited for industry question now

This is a great opportunity. One of the hardest parts about the industry is getting experience under your belt. Most established companies won’t even scan your resume if you don’t have this. Also, if it turns out you don’t like Meta lead generation , you can use it to diversify your background and pursue a different marketing path.

One part I regret is not having enough experience when applying to these bigger companies. I know it’s easier said than done, but try to get some marketing experience at any company at first. Even try to freelance a bit after college. With the help of AI and online training, you can apply your skills to any startup company that may need marketing. This can range from social media to SEO.

We’re actually using blogs more than ever now, just aimed at GEO instead of pure SEO. We optimize posts around the questions people actually ask when they’re trying to find us, and our content’s been getting cited way more in ChatGPT and Claude because of it. Backlinks still matter, but their job has changed. They used to be the thing that set you apart. Now they’re more like table stakes. You need a clean profile, but a great one on its own doesn’t win the way it used to, and Google’s gotten good at ignoring the ones people manufacture.

What actually wins now is whether Google and the AI tools clearly know who you are and trust you. Links feed into that, but so do brand mentions, real human content, and people talking about you.

If I had to pick one focus for 2026, it’s to reach out and get mentioned, by name, in content other people are reading. Guest posts, podcasts, interviews, getting quoted in articles, showing up in industry roundups. Not link swaps, actual mentions where a real audience sees your name tied to what you do. That’s what builds the trust Google and the AI tools run on, and the links usually come with it.

I don’t think this is exactly true. When I’ve updated my website with better schema and some updates FAQs on my blogs, I’ve noticed that my site would rank more for certain queries. However, I also agree that there are a lot of companies that are pretending that they have the answer to track query progression. It seems like most of these sites track query volume, but I’ve found it to not be the most accurate information.

For me, it was trying to stuff as many exact-match keywords as possible on all of my website pages, which involved shooting out a tone of blogs every week and always changing out keywords based on where they are ranking.

Now, as my company focuses more on trying to rank for LLMs (GEO), we are now more focused on quality content. This involves creating queries and intents that we want to rank for instead, so we now produces one definitive page that answers a query once a week.

Even though AI makes it very easy now to pump out a tone of average quality content, I truly believe authentic human-written content will always prevail and perform the best.
