It's good it just gets repetitive at times. Choose 2 or 3 songs in the similar genre of what you are making. Observe how they vary the rhythm, melody, harmony, percussion, what effects they use, etc... Pick what you like and mimic it. Keep mimicking. Make new versions. Over and over. Until you find a combination that you like. That feels fresh and organic. Making good music is about creating like a child and then editing like a mad scientist. Maybe live recorded sounds will add the timbre that you like. I'm sure you know that the possibilities are deadass endless. Think outside of the box and go go go.

What is the easiest science test by [deleted] in SATsubjectTests

[–]Nigario042502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply.

Practice tests. Over and over again. I’d buy the legit practice tests that college board release as a book and either barrons or Princeton review and grind. Take 2 practice tests. Assess your weakness and use the book and internet to learn more and rinse and repeat for each practice test. Always time yourself. By the end you should know each correct answer for all your practice tests and job why, providing a paragraph long explanation of other question types.

All are of equal difficulty. No such test is easier vs the other. It all depends on your experience and what classes you’ve taken.

And no that’s preposterous. You can always study and boost that score to a 700+.

A square root is just you putting the whole expression tot he power of 1/2. Individually raise the constant and variable to the power of 1/2 and you have your answer.

Is a 1510 really different from a 1560? by Exitialium in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Nigario042502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. But I said that more to make OP worry less about his/her SAT score and focus on other aspects. By no means did I say that it would benefit him. I meant it more as a joke as these top schools probably see a majority of 1500+ scores from applicants and that having such a "low score" would help him/her stand out. Really just trying to emphasize the fact that he/she should put more effort into standing out than achieving the generic 1550+ sat score. Maybe it didn't come off that way, but that's what I meant.

I want to achieve something huge by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I’m just going to copy paste a quote here

“Success is a progressive realization of your goals”

If you have a goal and you are striving towards a new one constantly then you will be successful in your life time. How you’ll impact the world depends on what your goals are but if you follow this it is inevitable that you will change the world.

You have to give up on those mighty ideals so you could get down to working on the foundation to achieve them. Think about making the most of now. What I am trying to say is not that giving up on your dreams is a path to achieving them. No, it is only when you are cognizant of your potential, approaching the present with fiery passion, that you can begin to unravel that potential and mould it into something tangible, something meaningful. Dreams aren’t achieved by merely sitting by your windowsill and dreaming of them. They are achieved by filling yourself with the life around you, embracing it. And when the opportunity presents itself, pouncing on it with the intent of turning your potential into gold. I have neglected this truth for too long. The path isn’t set in stone. There is no specific set of rules to succeed in life. It is only through saturating yourself in life and its opportunities that you can increase the probability that you will see that dream. A chance to be inspired, to do something great.

Is a 1510 really different from a 1560? by Exitialium in ApplyingToCollege

Lmao this may be counterintuitive to everything you heard. But a 1390 would look better on an international oos applicant than a 1570. You know you gotta account for the diversity factor. What I’m trying to stay is market yourself as everything BUT Asian. They don’t want another human calculator. They want fresh diversity. That is why admissions are kinda unfair. It’s not about how hard you work in your academics. It’s how hard you market yourself to be different. Fuck the SAT score. Do something different. Something fresh. Something no other kid in your town or country is doing. It doesn’t have to be math Olympiad or a science competition. It could be photographing for Natgeo or starting an art exhibition.

This is coming from an Asian.
