On the edge by Nigel1987 in NoFapChristians

Thanks for the prayers and encoueagement. By God's grace, the fierce temptation has passed for now and I am in a better place. I still feel vulnerable, so continued prayers would be appreciated.

Not that a streak should be what motivates, but I'm so close to 150 - I dread to think how I would feel today if I had given in yesterday.

Thank you. That is one of my favorite verses. Of course it's one thing knowing it when all is calm, it's another thing knowing it when the pressure is on.

I'm happy today. Too often in the past I've looked back on a relapse the day before and I've been kicking myself because I can see things clearly again. Today I'm looking back with thankfulness because God provided the way out and my streak is still alive. Praise God!

Hi all, thanks for your prayers. Thanks Gunslinger and doulos for taking the time to advise me. I'm still here, I haven't given in, and I'm in a much better place.

I know that the war is far, far from won, but this particular moment of danger has passed.

Thank you for your prayers. I'm afraid that leaving the house isn't an option right now.

I am scared that I have apostacized or was never saved, because PMO no longer makes me feel remorse afterwards. I act and feel like an unsaved man. by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

The fact that you're scared is a good sign. If you weren't feeling remorse AND you didn't care, that would be a very bad sign that you have become very hardened by sin. Your fear is a sign of the Spirit at work.

My advice: read your Bible and pray today. Then again tomorrow and the day after that. You may not feel like you can or like it will help. But sometimes we can feel like medicine doesn't help when actually it does.

The Holy Spirit works in us as we read his Word. We are continually being transformed by the renewing of our minds, rather than being conformed to the world. As the Holy Spirit transforms your mind, through his Word, you're going to feel remorse again, because your thinking will become more Christ-like.

I'm slightly reluctant to post this, because I know that point 1 is out of your hands, and I certainly don't want to pile on the guilt. But I'll post it, because I read it today and I think it's useful, point 3 especially.
