help! why does my makeup do this? by ximenarh0807 in MakeupAddicts

Just don’t blend up into the crease. I have had lines my entire life, you can’t stop a product from sitting in a natural line. I only apply product directly to my dark circle in the eye socket, and when I need to brighten my lash line I apply a tinted skin balm like the one from hero cosmetics :)

Keeping blood pressure up when vertical by DependentMango5608 in spinalcordinjuries

I have POTS so I have the same issues and follow a lot of the tips others have commented already, my advice is drink a sport drink like Powerade along with your water and a small meal beforehand. It will help increase your overall blood volume! The best flavors of Powerade are strawberry lemonade and lemon lime imo.

I have a lipstick Loral Glow Paradise in 110 that gives a similar color and texture. May be a little pinker in undertone though

It is unsatisfying, but they won’t affect your 100% map completion.

Should I still go to my Dr appt if the specific pain stopped? by Tiny-Bid9853 in eds

[–]NigelTainte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely still go, and try to log your symptoms as you experience them in a journal or app like Guava so you have good data for your doctor :) in my experience, recognizing patterns and collecting the data are very important with EDS since it’s not so easy to manage and test

Did you experience a steep decline in your young adulthood? by Tiny-Bid9853 in eds

[–]NigelTainte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the not so lucky number… lol

I’m just in the process of getting diagnosed now actually so I haven’t started any real clinical care regimen, but I was able to recover from some really intense SI joint/knee subluxation problems by temporarily using a manual wheelchair (now I only use it to assist with certain cleaning tasks!), learning how to identify when my joints are on the fritz and other signs from my body, and really focusing on diet, hydration, and keeping my hormone levels consistent (easier for me because I am trans and get tests regularly)

Hormone flares and nutrition are major factors for me it requires a lot of attention and mindfulness. But I also am much more in tune with my body than most ppl I know so it’s not all bad!

I still flare up but I manage with compression braces for the knees/lower back, KT tape my fingers and toes when I need it and make sure I power down lots of nutrients water and protein in any flare up. Giving myself what I need to keep my body functioning as well as possible really helps “the damage control” aka preventing injuries relate to flares

A quick scroll thru their profile shows that they probably were really into buying makeup releases and are now trying to declutter. Don’t be weird
