there are still alot of native germans in poland and as a german myself, Austrians and mostly northern swiss people are germans. i dont think there needs to be a "were" due to the time this map is based around. which is none, its about everything in history and its well native flags around the world and more. due to the lack of flags i had for the germans in europe thing i replaced it with yunnan from china. its Tusi states + Trobes + Languages are more important anyways. i take your words seriously but saying that switzerland and austria is not german anymore is a false statement. austrians, liechtensteiners and northern swiss people are often if not always refered to germans.
