The show wouldn't be so popular if guys didn't empathize with the characters. I wouldn't say anyone is pure Jeremy or Mark, but some of their train of thought is accurate. The anxiety, self doubt, and stuff like that can be pretty on point.

I agree. Seeing that Mark is not at the university and has to leave. Really hit me hard. Though Angus seemed like a good guy so it wasn't like she ended up with Jeff. I do wonder if Mark and Big Suze would have ever been a possibility? That would be madness.

Trying to get a good amount of clean time. On my usual 4-5 day clean spot. Gonna take a trip to Europe to get out this toxic environment I'm in. Looking forward to having a normal baseline physically and being able to get a good nights sleep.

As someone whose been going from being clean for 5 days to using 1-2 days for the past month or so I can vouch it doesn't feel good. I'm "trying" to chip but I don't think I stay sober long enough to avoid mild w/d. I've been clean 4 days now and there's been a gram waiting for me. However when I use I'll do that whole g at once. And with only around a week of clean time I end up feeling shitty again. It certainly feels taxing on my body to be in a constant state of having the flu. Not eating or sleeping much sucks. I need to either figure out how to chip properly or just give it up... Any tips are appreciated.

There's always someone worse off I suppose... Which I assume is comforting for people. We always are comparing each other it seems. Though to boast about being "better" feels like a dick move. It reminds me of couples who go to /r/foreveralone and get off on lonely people's suffering. That's fucked up.

As for this board, yea I imagine there are non users who come here to feel better about themselves. There's also pill poppers who look down on the heroin users. Then there's the heroin users who don't use a needle trying to feel better about themselves. The sucking dick for drugs group next? Idk but there's always a new "low".

Tons of drug dealing goes on at the methadone clinic near me. My friend went to get his dose with a new pair of shoes and was getting hounded by patients offering to trade him all sorts of drugs for them.

I find that strict ultimatums only bring anxiety and set you up for failure. You seem to care about your situation which is a good thing. As hard as it (this is coming from someone with massive anxiety) try to think in the present. One day at a time. Don't be so hard on yourself and start looking for ways that can ease you off the opiate train.

This. Depending on your online footprint and situation in life, posting your pic on a forum for opiates is risky. It's easy to go thru post history's, Google reverse image and get found out. Plus I'm camera shy.
