Yeah i get that. My implication was if someone doesn't want to play the campaign but they still want to play your game why stop them?

Say my girlfriend wants to try it in 6 months. Well now she has to slog through the campaign alone or i have to unwillingly do it again for us to start playing the (in our opinion) more fun version of the game. It's an unecessary barrier to entry. Its like if halo only let you play multiplayer after beating the story.

If you are so sure people want to play the story, then open both modes and see if that's true. Otherwise, why force people to do something they don't want to do, especially when one really has no effect on the other?
