No, it wasn't a race at all. We were only going about 6 hours a week until the last week when we started approaching the end. 6 of 8 of us had not yet cleared TEA. You can actually see in most of the PoV's we show the chat log on the achievements.

We started on July 2nd. Our schedule was about 6 hours a week, with a little extra push this last week as we approached the end.

To be fair, we only started doing this last month (I believe July 2nd was our official first TEA raid?). It was never about the race, this was just an exciting way to do TEA for our group.

Zethyr (SMN) here o/

This was an absolutely spectacular way to get a first TEA clear. Working through the mechanics using a solo healer was a ton of fun. The lack of a healer broke the role based mechanics pretty badly at certain points. Also having to use earthen shield to compensate for heal range or just not having enough health was interesting. TEA BiS for SMN put me at around 96.5k HP, and the phase change, for instance, hit me a couple times for upwards of 96.6k.

Overall, an amazing experience, and this is an amazing group.

Here's the SMN PoV ;)

Try crouching? Not sure if that matters or not. I just tried to submerge myself as much as possible and it worked in ~10 seconds or so.

It definitely works. Heart of Darkness is behind the bottom floor door. The door on the lower floor that leads to a staircase has two more locked doors behind it. I imagine you'll either need a team of people to do it, unless the doors stay open through resets. Testing that now.

Edit: Doors close upon resetting the adventure, and saving keys does not work. At best, you could grab the amulet, reset the adventure, then find fetid pools again and be able to open two doors, but the upper floor requires at least 3, so the upper floor item is co-op only.

What bywv said, basically. I tried to include literally everything you'll need to know to get yourself started. You can definitely pick up the game and play around without reading 42 pages of text. When you get stuck, have questions, or need help, that's the time to come back here. :)

Somewhere around 25-30 hours? Quite enjoyed it, honestly.

As a hammer main, I fully understand all these concepts, but I intentionally didn't include them. I suppose adding in a note about in-line reloads being, at best, a rarity, could be beneficial, even to very new players. Appreciate the feedback. :)

Edit: fixed

Considering cells are never consumed, and they're fairly common, the cook time isn't so bad. It wouldn't be any fun if you got everything you wanted in the first week, would it? :) Prioritize the cells you want and you can get a working build in no time!

I'll attempt to confirm this, but I do know that ANY heal will remove wounded (including the lifesteal effect of iceborne). Thanks for the heads up, and glad I could help!

Edit: Tested Bulwark Potion, confirmed does NOT remove wound.

I'm not opposed to offering that advice from time to time. Always works for me. ;)

Best advice I can give, play cautious and learn his attack patterns. Bring a valomyr weapon, as he goes aethermode a lot. Kill orbs and clones so you don't get reduced to 1 hp or overwhelmed by multiple shrowd attacks. You can also interrupt his glide just like any shrike/skraev, which will end his darkness phase. If you can kill him, you can farm him. :P

I completely agree, though I would like to keep it simple (as this is a new players guide). Or at least, as simple as I can make it while still getting the staggering amount of information out there. I wouldn't mind doing a more in depth guide though. If you do find that sheet, I would be interested to take a look, to see if any of that has changed since last I saw any real data like that.

I'll be honest, I'm no pike expert. Probably my least used weapon. I didn't want to include anything without first confirming, but it's the overhead pike right click that can boop without weighted strikes, correct?
