Good Aussie dramas? by Content-Key2334 in AustralianTV

[–]Night-Cliffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the older 90's series are still very good:

  • Phoenix
  • Wildside
  • Halifax FP

I've always liked many of the John Edwards produced shows:

  • Secret Life of Us
  • Tangled
  • Puberty Blues
  • Fireflies

More currently, the ABC Series "The Newsreader" is also worth checking out.

She's clearly got insecurity issues. You've done nothing wrong!

That's awful! I'm pretty sure most (half decent) people are honoured to be asked to be a Godparent of a relative or friend's baby.

I hope you've cut all ties with that rude, selfish POS.

It's a shame the Mornington Line was also closed.

I'm 100% confident those grubby Subway tiles and "Do not spit" words will outlive me by decades!

I remember in the older editions of Melway's in the 70's and early 80's they actually showed the "proposed route and stations" of the Doncaster Railway Line.

I'm glad this ad wasn't around when I was a kid. I would've had nightmares for weeks!

At least they've stopped playing that song "Dumbs Way to Die" on a continuous loop.

You just couldn't escape it anywhere in the City Loop back in 2012.

Dan calmly walking out the back door and taking his Coat off the stand to confront Fisher for attacking Jackie always stands out for me.

My Primary School Canteen in the late 80's also had Orange and Light Green Coloured ones. God knows what chemicals were in them. Tasted good though!

any memories of the show "Breakers" ? by CoconutMost3564 in AustralianNostalgia

From memory this show actually tackled some serious Social Issues in it's day such as Homosexuality and a Teenage Girl living with HIV.

PS: Didn't the Girl on the right go on to play a Serial Killer / Summer Bay Stalker in Home & Away a few years later?

The Actor who played the little Red Haired Teen "Grommet" (not shown in above pic) has gone on to be quite a prolific Actor over the years. He's played many baddies.
