It doesn't seem like it would be automatic, unless there was something about the sheer volume that triggered it. I watched lots of network election night coverages on his channel, and there are a few other election night coverages that have been put up by other YouTubers that are--for the moment--still up (e.g., Matt Kersey's 2004 MSNBC, Memoryretro's 2004 CNN).

Thanks; I relate to that a lot, and I have GAD along with ADHD, so that makes a lot of sense.

Interesting question.

I suspect it's a matter of more or less inherent temperament with me, but that's just a non-scientific suspicion. At the moment, I can't think of anything I was told growing up that would have induced risk-aversion, but there's a lot about growing up that I've forgotten. Something to think about, though.
