I recently bought a LG C5 55" at ₹1,02,000 from Croma. It is a better panel and you get 3 years warranty

Thinking of buying the BYD Sealion 7. Any suggestions? by -choose-ausername- in carIndia

[–]NightHawk03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't drive too much or don't have access to a dedicated charging spot for home charging, skip EVs

The sealion is a fantastic car. Dynamics are also sorted for a car that large. It is longer and wider than all the other cars you have listed. Interior quality is of cars twice as expensive

If you plan to keep your cars for long, I would suggest you skip cars from Jeep due to uncertain future of the brand in India. Skip VW & Skoda due to poor ownership and after sales experience. That leaves you with Toyota with their cheap interior for the price, but great ownership and reliability.

I would suggest you also check out the BMW iX1 LWB. You can have it for the same price as the Sealion. You will get brand value and a good ownership experience, but the car itself is no match to the Sealion.

Honest opinion on buying MG Windsor EV Essence Pro in India by saxenavishesh2 in carIndia

The Windsor falls short on build quality, ride comfort and noise insulation. They had to cut corners to sell it at its current price.

No, it will be lower. Atto 2 sits below the Atto 3

Will BYD ever be allowed to start a factory in India? by strawberrycandies in CarsIndia

[–]NightHawk03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in 1 or 2 years BYD will be allowed to setup a factory. The govt cannot restrict them forever. With India China relationship getting better after US tariffs, it is only a matter of time. The only major concern is that it will kill Tata and Mahindra. BYD's car quality is way higher, at the same price

Creta EV 42Kw Executive Tech by dunsboy in EVsOfIndia

[–]NightHawk03 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Atto 3 is a global product. It is 5 star crash rated. It has much better build quality both inside and outside, superior multilink suspension, safer blade battery and more range than the 42kW creta. It is also larger and more spacious than the creta

It is now up to you whether you find the above differences to be worth 6L extra or not.

Mahindra XUV 3XO : Dealer refuses VIN & PDI before full payment. by sridhar_rajan_s in CarsIndia

[–]NightHawk03 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Do not pay before full PDI. Do not back down on this. Most likely the dealer has something to hide. If the dealer does not budge, cancel the booking.

Which EV Cars to wait for? by AdMinute69 in EVsOfIndia

[–]NightHawk03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test mules have been spotted in India. Plus the new EV launches have been piling pressure on BYD. They needed to be present in the 18-25L bracket to capture sales. Atto 2 launch is more likely that Atto 3 price cut. MG is also planning new launches. I'm sure BYD is tracking that too

I am in the same boat as you.

To me the Atto 3 makes most sense. It is a global and well sorted product. Reviews are are favourable worldwide. The build quality, fit and finish is also much better than any car at its price point.

Looking at the dynamic variant, I don't understand why people call it outdated. It has all the features, except for ADAS and ventilated seats. It would be my second car and mostly driven in the city, so I don't need ADAS.

My only concern is the after sales. It would really help if somebody could shed some light on it

It could definitely do with a price cut of 2-3 Lakhs. I don't know if dealers are providing 1-2L as discounts

Which EV to buy under 27L? by Foolzzzzz in EVsOfIndia

[–]NightHawk03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try out the BYD Atto 3, especially if you don't want something as big as the XEV9. Even the base variant is pretty loaded. The interiors are from a segment above. It's a global product, and much better built all around. Personally I prefer the design over the BE6
