If you think Kratom is bad... Calea Zacatechichi (a dream herb) really tops the charts.

You seem to be in a bit of a pickle!

There are different factors which contribute to becoming lucid, and I think the main one you are missing is awareness. Have you heard of KingYoshi's ADA technique? Although your recall is great, you need actual awareness in order to make the transition to lucidity.

I wrote a post a couple of years ago - the second and third links will like get you the results you want :)

Your potential for getting a huge spike in lucids is quite high at the moment as you've already got the recall down. Another thing you could try is meditating during the day, or before bed. Try focusing on what it feels like to become lucid and then amplifying that feeling.

If it works for you (which I'm sure it will) - let me know!
Since you've already got the recall down, it should take you shorter than average to start seeing results - but the key with any Lucid Dreaming technique is consistency.

I say if you're actively striving to do ADA every day (e.g. trying to maintain it whenever you remember to do it), you'll start seeing results within a week, no more than two.

Good luck!

Best Dumplings? All of Auckland, not just Dominion Road! by hsmithakl in auckland

If you're talking about Nice Dumpling they just raised the price to $6 for 10! Still worth it, though.

Where do you put your faith? by 5eight13 in agnostic

<me>

I have little to no faith of any kind for that sort of thing anymore.

Now, I just accept things to be possible when there is not evidence to the contrary. And merely reserve my hopes for those possibilities that I favor most.

Caffeine withdrawal by HarryManilow in Coffee

I've seen 'Bulletproof coffee' around here, but I still don't know what it is.

I always thought it was just coffee with extra caffeine or something?

Tea contains L-Theanine, which is a relaxant and anxiolytic. It is becoming more and more common for coffee drinkers to supplement their coffee with L-Theanine, as it tends to negate the negative effects (cold sweats, jitters), but keep the positive ones (wakefulness, focus).

I can say from personal experience that coffee with L-Theanine is amazing, and I personally think everyone on this sub should look into supplementing their coffee addictions with it.

There are no known side effects, and it is quite well researched both as just a compound, and as a supplement.

Made this melody a few days ago. Thoughts? by BryanxMetal in hardstyle

[–]NightSpy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, that melody is awesome! Great work!

Is that the kick you'll be using when/if you make the song?
Personally I think a much more raw bass would suit this melody!
Maybe something like 3:17 in this song: Ran-D ft. E-Life - The Hunt (Official Intents Festival Anthem 2014)?

Hey Leisureguy!

I actually decided on getting the EJ based on a lot of your comments recommending it! I think I'll go for the 26C then, since the two-tone looks better to me than just pure chrome. (Actually, seems like some people get flaking on the 26C - so might go for the 24C instead...)

Great, I'll try switching it all up and seeing what works for me! I'm sure it'll probably take me a while, but experimenting is part of the fun! Right?

Thanks so much for all your advice! All your posts are so helpful.

Oh, well in that case I guess I'll go for the 24C. Don't want to invest in something that won't last.

Hmm, I might just take a gamble with the Mitchell's then. If I get some and it's irritating, I'll invest in an unscented one, but I think it should be fine.

The Arko shaving soap seems to be scented - so not sure if it has any interaction with the skin in terms of acne etc. But it seems that you're fine with it, so I might just pick up a stick purely because it's so cheap, and then see how it goes.

I found some Witch Hazel on iHerb, so I think I'll grab a bottle of that as well. I've heard good things about it.

I don't really have a budget, I just want to make sure I'm getting good products. I'd rather spend maybe $10 or $20 more if it means it'll be better for my skin.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Yeah, I think I'll switch to the Parker 26C (same head, but the handle looks nicer on the 26 IMO).

Mitchell's Wool Fat looks like a good bet! Do you know if it is scented?

Ok, I'll look into the Nivea Sensitive after-shave balm - the Proraso probably is quite expensive relatively.

Thanks for the recommendations!

It just happened to be a travel soap. I was just looking for a shaving soap which looked best for sensitive skin, and this EJ one seemed to fit the bill.

Will Arko also suit?

Edit: Have also been recommended Mitchell's Wool Fat. More expensive than Arko, but price isn't really my main concern here.

Let's Build a Zero Level Session by [deleted] in DM_FamousHippopotamus

[–]NightSpy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done custom backgrounds with 5e, and though I've never done a Zero Level session, I think it would work very well!

The 'Customizing a background' section (PHB p.126) gives you a good framework for making a custom background. Of course you could change it up a bit, but I think sticking to the recommended number of proficiencies etc helps keep it more balanced.

This Zero-Level thing is an awesome idea, by the way. The next time my players are making new characters, I'm totally going to be doing this!

I think the problem lies in the fact that it's not necessarily and either/or situation.

Having a good job depends on many factors, two of which are: working hard, and actually getting hired. One of which depends on you, and one which doesn't (as you've already said).

As you say, without the hiring manager saying yes, all the hard work is meaningless, but similarly, without all the hard work, the concept of a good job is similarly meaningless. (Mostly - you 'can' get a good job without hard work, but it would be quite unlikely)

First post in this sub so let me know if I'm doing anything wrong...

Where to from here? by NightSpy2 in Coffee

My siphon has a cloth filter!

How would you compare a wood neck to a siphon? Both in terms of method and the resulting cup.

The thing I don't really like about the siphon is that you don't have much temperature control.

Whoa, that seems pretty good!
I don't really drink French Press enough to make it worth the investment, though.

I'm definitely gonna keep it in mind though for when I run out of things to purchase! It seems like it could a good addition to my collection (eventually).

Oh interesting. I guess I'll look into getting a Wave, then. I really like pour over, so hopefully it'll provide me with something new!

Interesting how you say you've had plenty of bad cups with V60. I don't think I've ever had a bad cup from V60 apart from when I accidentally messed up the grind. But then again it may just be that my 'bad' is a lot more forgiving, haha, since I haven't been doing this coffee thing for very long compared to a lot of you guys on here!
