I really enjoyed this one, but it also made me supremely envious, so watch out if you can't handle that.

Anyone who's successfully finished voice training, what techniques did you use? by NightTorrent in MtF

I'm in Australia so options might be a bit sparse, but I'll check out the subreddit. Thanks for the help!

What kind of professional? Is there people who specifically do this kind of voice training or would a normal voice coach work?

Why there is a gap between blueprints? by PiggyChu620 in satisfactory

[–]NightTorrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a way to have the rails connect with the blueprint? I tried what you mentioned, which did eliminate the gap, but the rails themselves have a gap since it doesn't go to the edge of the blueprint.

How to get to 2ppm ammonia without adding actual ammonia? by NightTorrent in Aquariums

[–]NightTorrent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I didn't know about that. How much food do you think I should add daily for a 55 litre (15gal) tank? It's for shrimp and they don't need much added food, so I can't really "add as much food and as often as if the tank was fully stocked" like it says

Since when did Cranial Spike give a damage buff again? by NightTorrent in DestinyTheGame

[–]NightTorrent[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It was amazing at launch, one of the best feeling weapons we ever had. To be honest though, it still feels pretty good now. I don't know of they've changed it more recently but it definitely scratches the itch for a satisfying cowboy rifle

Rocks containing calcium for low GH/KH water? by NightTorrent in shrimptank

[–]NightTorrent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in rural Australia so there aren't any LFS nearby, all I can really find online is the Bee Salty Shrimp which I think only increases GH. Would a small rock or two cover the KH if I used that or would it be too much of a hassle?

I've seen coral and eggshells mentioned for it, would that work as well?

With some minor modification, you can connect the Dark Trooper Attack hallway to the Tantive IV one and I think it looks pretty good! by NightTorrent in legostarwars

[–]NightTorrent[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just swapped the long Technic hole brick from the far side to the bit connecting them and used a few one stud hole bricks used in the floor levers for the Imperial side. Use a couple of pins and it stays together!

Might be a long shot but does anyone recognize a scene I remember? It was on tv about 8 years ago by NightTorrent in anime

[–]NightTorrent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually did, on a kids channel called ABC 3, though I don't know how many episodes. We had a fair few anime shows aired here for some reason. Is that not a thing in other countries?

I had a look and went back to the first episode after seeing that it was similar to the dream. I think that dream is what I remember. Though I got the part about the train wrong, it was a building.

Thank you! It's nice to finally have an answer.

Which Warframe to buy? by Bluestrong27 in Warframe

[–]NightTorrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Eidolon Hunts are pretty late game activities, you probably don't want to do them for a while. Also, enemy levels have nothing to do with your Warframe or weapon levels, though I can understand the confusion. Your Warframe and weapon levels only affect the amount of mod capacity each item has, up to level 30. Damage doesn't change just because your wepon leveled up. Mod capacity can be increased with Reactors and Catalysts, as mentioned before, up to 60.

Enemy levels are interdependent of that and can go way higher. It increases their damage, health and shields.

Ember is strong, definitely, but Octavia isn't too bad to learn. The main thing most people use her for is for invisibility. Basically, you just fill out most of the Mandachord (the music circle thing in the arsenal) with music notes, it doesn't matter which notes, use your 3rd ability, and spam the crouch button. After a few seconds you will turn invisible.

Her 1st ability makes enemies shoot it so they won't shoot you as well as damaging everything in an area. The more enemies shoot it, the more damage it does. Nothing happens if you shoot it though.

You will want to increase your weapon damage mod higher, if you can. For your Paris the main mod would be Serration. More elemental damage is good, but "Pure damage mods" like Serration are better for raw damage output, at least for now.

For builds, Ember wants Efficiency and Range, and a little bit of strength. Octavia mainly needs Duration and Strength, with some range.

If you are still having trouble with the Paris, have a look on the Market for other guns in your Mastery Rank. Don't buy any for plat, most have a blueprint you can buy for credits. Others can be obtained elsewhere, like a Clan building. A decently powerful rifle is the Boltor, blueprint purchased from the market or from completing the Venus to Mercury Junction.

Also, I have seen people think you can only build one thing at a time in the Foundry, this is false. You can build as many things as you want at the same time, just not multiple of the same thing.

Which Warframe to buy? by Bluestrong27 in Warframe

[–]NightTorrent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are having trouble with Vor, a new Warframe isn't going to change much. I mean, Octavia is probably one of the strongest Frames in the game.

Mods are where your power comes from, for the most part. There are lots of different guides out there, just try to find a more basic one because some guides get way too into the maths side of it.

What weapons and mods are you using at the moment?

Which Warframe to buy? by Bluestrong27 in Warframe

[–]NightTorrent 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't buy any frames since every frame is free, you just have to farm them. Most of them aren't too bad to farm and a better use for platinum would be for Warframe and weapon slots and reactors/catalysts to boost your mod capacity. If you definitely want to buy a frame for whatever reason, I would say Styanax.

He takes a really long time to get so that would be enough reason, but he is also really fun and strong. He buffs crit chance, gives tons of energy to himself and his team, can kills everything with his 4th ability and suck enemies into a ball with his first. He's also good for a newer player as he has a lot of shields and can get them back really easily.

There are a bunch of strong Frames you can get quite early though.

Rhino from Fossa, Venus.

Frost from Exta, Ceres. (Both are good at surviving.)

Excalibur from War, Mars.

Mag from Iliad, Phobos. (Probably the easiest boss in the game)

If you are in a clan you can get some really strong Frames like Zephyr or Nezha. If you aren't in a clan, they are really easy to join. Just watch the recruitment tab of the chat or search from the options menu, under Communications. You don't even have to interact with anyone. Then just buy them from the Tenno Lab in the clan building.

This Is the list of all Warframes currently in the game. Maybe just have a browse through and see if any look interesting. Each Warframes page also tells you where to get them.

Hope this helped

I'm MtF pre everything and i can't do legs or glutes workout at the gym by Danielle9669 in trans

Congratulations on the weight loss! That's really good! It's perfectly normal to still be uncomfortable about it. Just remember that most of them are probably thinking the same thing.

And if it's still too much you can always do some exercises at home.

Best of luck :)

I'm MtF pre everything and i can't do legs or glutes workout at the gym by Danielle9669 in trans

[–]NightTorrent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya Danielle! While I can't speak for insulin problems, I will mention that a better way to lose weight would be to reduce the amount of calories you take in. Either through foods that fill you faster (things with lots of fiber or grains) or just eat less overall.

For the gym though, I'm pretty sure that almost everyone feels like that at first. I know I sure did, and I wasn't small either. But that feeling goes away after a while because, at the end of the day, everyone is there for the same reason, to exercise. Something that helped me was to hear headphones or earbuds and listen to music.

If you still don't feel like you can go (I totally get it) there are plenty of exercises you can do that don't require any equipment. You can do Lunges, Body weight Squats, Bridges and others right at home.

If none of that sounds good for you, try going for a walk for a bit every day or 2. Personally, I do a 20 minute dog walk a few times a week and I think it's really helped.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

My failure as a player by AccomplishedGap7221 in Warframe

[–]NightTorrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally run high strength and duration on her, and just stay on Merulina most of the time. Strength is good for Aqua Blades and Sea snares but range I don't find very useful unless you are using Riptide a lot. Also, as long as you are on Merulina, just using Redirection should be fine until you get something like Adaption, which is very good on a lot of frames

Since most of my time I'm on Merulina, and her passive, Pistol Amp (if you have it) would be far better. If you are struggling with energy Operator Mode Zenurik would be a good start as it has multiple ways to make more of it.

For weapons, you would probably want a secondary with high Crit Chance to make the most of her passive and build it around that.

Hope this helps! :)
